Grace: Nothing, just needed to get out of my own head, if that makes sense.
Grace: And maybe out of here for a bit.
Grace: Can I use it this weekend?
Richard: Of course. Whatever you need. What's mine is yours.

“I don’t know what this is…” Sylvie commented as she looked quizzically at the colourful drink she held in her hand, it looked as if a rainbow had completely exploded in the glass, and she wasn’t usually the cocktail type, but if someone bought her alcohol in any form, she’d drink it. “Fuck, it tastes good, though. I don’t even know what flavour this is supposed to be, but the old fella on the other side of the bar bought it for me, and he thinks he’s going to get in my pants for doing that… he’s going to get a shitty surprise when my husband shows up.”
“You’re having an awful lot of with that drink,” He pointed out, knowing that if his eyes were closed right now at some point in her sentence, he would’ve thought something else was going on. “I’m sure there’s something in fruity because those colors definitely aren’t natural. Can you taste the alcohol?”

Grace: I'm not uh doing great Richie
Grace: Got a bit of a cold, been trying to avoid people and get better.
Grace: Hey, just wondering, do you and Colette still have that place upstate?
Richard: What's up with you?
Richard: Yeah, we do. Do you need it?
a-dang:
Peeking out from behind her hiding spot, she promptly poked her head out first, grimacing at the male. “I… didn’t think anyone would mind.” Aeva hesitantly admitted, before further emerging from behind the palm tree, clutching in one hand her lit cigarette. To be fair, she just wanted to smoke by the tree for a bit, and just breathe in the salty ocean air.
“Sorry.” Her nose crinkled as she spoke. “Can I at least smoke in front of you here? Or are you going to make me leave?”
He had to show some sort of regard for other humans, which he obviously wasn’t the best at. At least not with those close to him. Of course the other woman, he didn’t care about at all but she seemed to be of no threat. At least not yet. “It’s fine.” He waved her off, bringing his cigar to his lips. “Are you just out here for a smoke?”

JESSE.
special delivery - @richardgalvez
Jesse plopped down next to the other man, holding his little basket of tacos in his hand. He turned his head to look over at Richard as he nodded his head. “You know you don’t have to bribe me to ask me for a favor.” He lifted up the basket slightly before putting it on his lap, reaching down to pick up one of the tacos, taking a bite of it as his dark hues rested on the other man. “What’s going on, Richard?”
" I would never bribe anyone. That’s beyond me,” He said facetiously. Richard had to do it all the time in order to make himself just seem like the perfect innocent businessman. “Besides keeping the Casino together and making sure my boys are virtually perfect, not much. I’ve been very busy these past few weeks, sometimes it’s just never ending. How about you?”

MARLOWE.
“I’ll take my chances,” Marlowe said, a sigh heavy enough that he thought he was closer to reaching the water below with the way his body sank against the edge. He was reminiscing, and the one thing this place had that New York didn’t, was the ocean. It was a stark contrast that forced him to push away the thoughts of home and watch them sink down below. “What’s the worst that can happen aside from a bird taking my sandwich?”
"Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” He warned again, smoke coming out of his mouth as he spoke. He couldn’t help but give the other man a smirk, “Stay innocent. It’s much better that way.” He wished that he thought that was the worst that could happen out here.

Grace: It's fine, I'm working overtime tonight.
Grace: Sorry about the other night, something came up and I couldn't make it to family dinner.
Richard: Always working, Grace. Not that I'm in any position to talk.
Richard: It's alright, we'll do it another night. I know the boys are dying to see you.

KATE.
special delivery - @richardgalvez
Kate stood at the bar, waiting for the two shot glasses. As soon as they were placed in front of her, she plucked them off the surface and gave the bartender a polite nod. She spun on her heel and walked across the bar to where Richard was sitting. Someone she had been working on getting close to given that she was working for him at the casino and it worked out well for her actual job. She put the shot glasses down, pushing one towards him. “Okay, pick up from where you left off.”
Getting a few drinks in him, Richard was a lot more loose than he normally was. But that wasn’t something he did often, much preferring to make sure he was in control of himself. He needed to be in control, he craved it. However, he somehow had gotten a few drinks in, they just kept coming towards him. Kate brought another shot to him, and he held it up to cheers her. “I hardly remember what I was talking about. It’s possible that my brain’s a little too cloudy for this now. You think we should call it a night?”
colettegalvez:
COLETTE.
Smiling, Colette crossed her arms and leaned against the counter. As she was sure he knew, there was very little else in the world she enjoyed more than watching someone else wash the dishes, or more specifically, when her husband did them for her. They had always worked so well together that she had come to expect it from him, the little efforts he made to make sure her life ran smoother. In the end she supposed that helped his life run smoother as well. “I actually just tucked them in and turned on Shrek,” she said. Moving around the corner, she didn’t stop until she was inches away. “So consider my yours.”
"I’m missing Shrek?” He did happen to really like that movie, not that he’d admit it to anyone but his family members. “I am very happy to consider you mine for the evening.” He admitted before kissing her gently. “Should we head towards the bedroom?” He missed her, he really missed her and that was evident in the fact that he was ready to waste no time. Even though they saw each other every single day, it was still hard to not see her during the day when they were both working.
president-scordato:
GUS.
Rocco was out of the hospital, and that should have been enough for Gus to finally relax, yet nothing worked. There was more than enough work for him to attend to, plenty of meetings, calls, and just about anything else, yet nothing really worked. His mind was still on the event, still trying to figure out who it could have been who tried to take Rocco from him, and so Gus was restless. And when the home gym no longer was enough for him to take out his pent up anger, he took it out to the streets.
The pier was common grounds- although, with someone he didn’t know most likely lingering there nothing was safe any more- and despite his wish to go on a jog alone, he knew that security was out there, watching his every move. It was frustrating to Gus, but that was part of his life now, no matter what.
He had paused to catch up his breath as a familiar voice spoke up, snapping him out of the thoughts that he had been trying to avoid all along. “I’m just catching my breath, Richard.” He replied back as he stood back up straight. “Getting exhausted quicker comes with the old age. You should know all about that.”
“I forget that you can sweat,” To him, Gus wasn’t really human. He was a man, a myth, a legend. But he forgot about the man part. "I don’t, old man.” He’d never admit that he was old, not even to his best friend. “You have around a decade on me.” He’d always remind him of that, not wanting to get grouped in with the age group of his just yet. “Is the treadmill not doing it for you anymore?” Obviously he was running outside for a reason and Richard would get to the bottom of it whether he liked it or not.
rileyadams:
RILEY.
Riley wasn’t much of an outdoors person but no one could deny that the outside was one of the selling features of Oceanside. The city was gifted with a gorgeous coastline and even Riley had to appreciate it. Today was her first free day in what felt like forever and walking around the city naturally pulled her towards the pier. She hadn’t even noticed that anyone else was around until he spoke. “Is this place closed to the public or something?” she asked with no malice in her voice. She hadn’t lived in Oceanside since she was fourteen so she was as good as new and curious about any changes in the time she was gone.
“It’s not closed,” He admitted, “This is a public place, I’d have to get a lot of permits to close this area down.” Of course he knew the technicalities of it, having had to deal with the town before. “I know some people aren’t a fan of second hand smoke.” He waved his cigar to show why he was mentioning that to begin with. “You can technically stay, if you’d like.” She seemed nice enough and not someone that would make him want to pull his hair out.

With the two of them home earlier than normal, Richard wanted to treat the family to some of his cooking for the night. He liked letting Colette relax when he could, which was why dinner and cleaning up was his treat for her tonight. “Dishes are all done, baby,” He announced as he heard footsteps coming towards him. “The sooner we get the boys to bed, the sooner I can have you all to myself.”

WINTER.
winter knew that most of the scorpions and vipers were in the hospital to support each other, it made perfect sense. it was the same reason she was there. there was nobody in particular she was visiting over another but rather, she wanted to join the united front and show she was there for her people. “i guess so. but it could be clean and not give me a headache, that would be a far better outcome.”
"No one’s forcing you to be here.” He had to be here. If he wasn’t, well, he’d never forgive himself if anything happened to Rocco or Grace mainly. Even other Scorpions. He felt a certain type of responsibility over all of them, even just as a consigliere. “Have you never been around cleaning supplies before?”

Oceanside Pier
Richard had instructed his driver to bring him to the pier. There was something about seeing the waves that cleared his head and allowed him to think. He was best when he was relaxed, even if that wasn’t something he wanted to admit. He told his driver to stay near the car, knowing he wouldn’t need protection in a place like this. It didn’t seem like he was a target anyways. Richard pulled out a cigar, lighting it up in his mouth before spotting someone out of the corner of his eye. "I wouldn’t be lurking around here if I were you.” He wasn’t sure what they were doing, they could’ve been passing by but he was on high alert since the gala. “It’s just not a good idea.”

GIADA.
status: open location: sparks gallery
Staring between two canvases hanging on the wall, Giada was having a very hard time discerning what made either one art. But she’d never been much of a creative herself and the price tag on them both led her to believe there was something impressive hidden within it somewhere. Either way, she was planning on leaving with one or both of them to hang in The Daily Breeze. Narrowing her eyes, she heard some footsteps approaching and a spark of hope ignited in her that they might know what the hell was going on. “Is there something about this I’m missing or is it just a canvas painted blue with a white dot on it?”
Richard made an appearance at the gallery frequently, just to see if there was any new artwork that he thought his wife would like. "I thought that was the whole point.” He admitted, shifting his weight more onto his left side of his body as he stared at the painting. “It’s supposed to be anything you want it to be. I see a white dot, representing change. You see just a white dot on a blue canvas. Are you going to take this one?”
