We’re a queer adult multiple with medium support needs and a lot of divergence and illnesses.
Please assume all of our replies are made in good faith. We really struggle with how tumblr is structured and when to contribute.
You may be blocked for the following: Hate towards any group of people, using slurs (even reclaimed ones), making posts which act as if the only queer experience is oppression, other negativity. We are trying to curate a positive experience for ourselves and this content impacts that.
DO NOT involve us in discourse. We very very easily get wrapped up in it due to our communication deficiencies.
We do not vet who we reblog from, or pay much attention. I’m sorry if we accidentally violate your DNI, just let us know and we can delete it. In turn, don’t send us anything like “you reblogged from x bad person so you must support them!?” - we reblog posts, not people.
ꕥ Before You Follow...
[LGBTQ+] We ID as queer first and foremost.
At least one of us is a multispec butch lesbian.
We have both neogenders and xenogenders. We also use neopronouns.
We believe in transmisandry/transandrophobia and don’t support the language of TMA/TME.
[Feminism] We are an equal-rights feminist and believe cis men are also affected by our misogynistic society and acknowledging that is important to truly alleviate misogyny overall.
(Ex. Men are affected by the misogynistic idea of “women are caretakers” and deemed suspicious and/or lesser for taking care of children.)
[Shipcourse] We are anti-censorship, pro-criticism. As in, people can say or create whatever they want, but that doesn’t mean they have to be accepted for it or not receive backlash.
[Disabilities] We believe that just because something would be harmful for you doesn’t mean it is for someone else.
We don’t have a lot of hyper strong opinions like this, but genuinely if you are anti-medication: Fuck you.
We believe paraphiles should not be treated as evil simply for existing. This doesn’t mean we think they should indulge their paraphillias, just that the fact someone is a paraphile doesn’t make them automatically bad.
[Syscourse] We believe acceptance and education are not mutually exclusive. In other words: Pro-endo, anti-misinformation.
We use personally “multiple” instead of system or plural.
We dislike the term “tulpa/tulpamancy” but not the practice itself: The practice is distinct, but the fact it uses the name it does bothers us.
i wish there was a word that made the distinction between androgynous as in "both male and female" and androgynous as in "a third thing between male and female"
if you see me liking posts i have no idea how much of my own blog i stand by anymore and i'm too anxious to actually check, hi. take anything on here with a grain of salt
— sincerely, guy (system) with many brain problems
I wish there were more posts on malgendering sharing many different trans experiences. I think every trans person (and likely other LGBTQIA+ and GNC folk) have experiences with it and it’s so insidious.
So. This is going to be an open post for LGBTQIA+ folk, particularly trans and intersex folk, to talk about your experiences with malgendering.
Malgendering is when you’re gendered correctly, but that gendering is treated negatively or used to justify bad treatment. It could include a wide range of behaviors, from trying to silence trans people who discuss their experiences from before coming out to being passive aggressive about gendering someone correctly to using a trans person’s gender so justify violence.
Do you have any experiences with Malgendering that you’d like to share? Aspects of it that you want others to understand? Would you prefer being misgendered or malgendered? This is a post to share your experiences and thoughts! (While respecting others.)
Malgendering is sorta the biggest reason why I'm problematic to most people who aren't heavy into discourse. Lots of people have seriously forgotten to actually pit their opinions on subjects they care strongly about against each other, and it results in a lot of disrespect and even lack of safety for gender queer folks.
The hands of radical feminism especially are in more pots than people like to think. I've identified as a lot of stuff over the years (I haven't used this account in forever so I'm sure it's outdated here too) and pretty continuously have dealt with people who never let their feminist ideas near their queer ones. I am not a woman, pretty much every identity I've ever gone by establishes this, but I have lived a life of someone seen as one by society, and with the body one expects a woman to have.
In most cases, I'm treated from then on as absolutely incapable of understanding anything about women's experiences. Nevermind that I have literally had those experiences and that my gender identity has nothing to do with that. This is mostly because I always present on the spectrum of man in some fashion, though, I know others get the woman-lite treatment.
Especially nobody likes it when I go "misandry is definitely a thing, look how you are treating people you see as men" and use that as evidence. Even though those people are literally putting their prejudice against men above their support and understanding for gender queer people.
(I also hate TMA/TME for similar reasons. The idea that some trans (and other gender queer) people aren't allowed to talk about their experiences because they're not a specific trans experience is. Painful. And it shoves everyone who isn't AMAB and fem-presenting into a box of "safer to assume bigoted than not" which is just. It's a disaster really. Not to mention people who get put in the box of "transmisogyny exempt" often do actually experience transmisogyny, because bigots literally don't care.)
TL;DR - Malgendering in feminism is the bane of my existence.
What do you think of the altersex flags I made a while back? Would you be interested in any changes made to them / alternate versions of them? https://www.tumblr.com/chaoscoining/708352328816787456/altersexual-altersex-alt-flag
I like them! (If you give permission I an also add them to the altersex carrd i made)
Hmm, for additions, I would say shorten the flag's stripes. Too much purple. Add in different colors, introduce a different shape. Since it's based on your other flag, I don't have too many critiques.
Please do! I'd love to see them get some use. I'm just transsex myself but altersex identities are something I've explored too, and that I think should get some more attention.
I definitely get you on the too much purple, especially since the color balance is off. The pink blends well into the purple, but the blue contrasts with it instead, which makes the flag look pretty unbalanced. I'll try making some adjustments later!
many years ago, games done quick had a problem. there were trans people in the community, and there were a lot of transphobes in the community. for a while there, trans members of the community got treated like shit. not by everyone, of course, but by enough people that it was clearly a culture problem, and it was getting BAD. (and frankly, transphobia was far from the only issue.)
so games done quick had a decision to make: keep things how they were, or fundamentally change the community's culture and kick out anyone who refused to stop being an asshole.
they chose to switch things up, and things changed IMMENSELY. they leaned into being trans positive, implemented pronoun tags for runners and staff, and started banning people who sought to make trans people feel unwelcome in the community.
since then, there have been a ton more trans speedrunners. long-time speedrunners have since come out, and trans rights are constantly celebrated with even more casual-ness than the transphobic vitriol that used to be spewed at trans people.
games done quick even chose to move their events out of florida (and eat the cost of doing so) in part because of transphobic laws that could endanger trans members of the community.
GDQ has come such a long way, and has fundamentally transformed itself into a much more kind and welcoming community. for everyone.
i've been going through a lot recently and stopped being able to update my blogs, both for those reasons and because I have Disorders(tm) that make it hard for me to return to things after i've been away a long time
also I think I'm like. a few "generations" of different person than the version of me that ran those blogs originally
but i'm taking my meds properly and am more stable now, so... fingers crossed maybe i'll get back to it.
What are you favorite nomination reasonings so far (if there are any)
AHEM.
someone submitted the tin man from wizard of oz calling him babygirl
someone called springtrap "springtrans" (valid)
someone nominated the lor starcutter with the premise of "what if a boat was my mom"
mettaton has been nominated several times but the funniest reasoning so far has been simply "have you seen him"
glados has ALSO been nominated several times, but the funniest reasoning for her is "i can't let that british twink steal her spot" as well as "love is in the air? wrong. neurotoxin"
let me just quote the whole reasoning for five pebbles here. ahem. "he's neat. he's a supercomputer. he's killing his sister as we speak, slowly and painfully. he's a poor little meow meow. he has a soda brand"
a nomination for miku with the reasoning just being the start of world is mine
star dream because "it looks like a penis lol"
the world machine with "the saddest god you're ever going to meet" (they're right)
starscream from transformers is apparently an "absolutely sopping wet pathetic babygirl"
to me demons are like cats just doing whatever they want causing problems on purpose, while angels are like hares theyre painfully aware of their place in this world theyve seen the end
people say they fight for those with trauma and against seeing traumatized people as evil, and then get mad at me when i'm traumatized in a way they don't like and have a different perspective because of it
