Welcome To My Blog!

You can call me Z/Zee. This blog of mine is Riddler-centric (occasionally other Gotham Rogues!) and is mainly headcanons, comic panels, tangents, etc… I also draw!

— This blog is part RP! If you want to direct questions to Mr. Nygma, feel free, and I shall answer in character! (Eddie’s characterization is based off of my AU!)

— I will answer almost any ask as long as you’re polite! Though, please keep in mind that this blog is PG13 (occasionally MA due to conversations about fictional death/drugs/alcohol/etc… TW!!) and NSFW/suggestive asks will likely be tamed to be appropriate to a wider audience (if answered at all).

— While I do block freely, please let it be known that I am an open supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community and do not tolerate any sort of bigotry, cruelty, or bullying. Towards me or others. This is a point I am stubborn on. I am on this platform to have fun, and I refuse to let anyone ruin that for me. Disagree? DNI.

While I mainly have knowledge relating to the comics, I am also well-versed in: BTAA, BTAS, Rogues!, Batman Unburied/Riddler: Secrets in the Dark, Batman (1966), and the DCAU.

BTAA is my favorite. I disliked The Batman (2022).

This codependent man needs his little Poppet made of straw to violate the boundaries of or he goes crazy— well, more crazy than usual, I mean.

Don’t worry, his toxic codependency with @askd0ctorjcrane does not go away because of his different targets, now he can try to make his very emotionally-stunted, mildly-unwilling, highly-codependent support Poppet jealous :))

I need to know how/why Jeremiah is a meta plsplsplsplsPLSPLSPLS

Okay, so, in various pieces of media, the Arkham family has many ties with the supernatural and metahumans.

Most noticeable representation of this is in the many portrayals of Amadeus Arkham as a ghost, Amity Arkham’s seemingly metahuman abilities as a witch and with possession, and Olive Silverlock’s pyrokinesis.

There is also the fact of Doctor Phosphorus founding his slightly magical civilization underneath the asylum, of all places. In general, the asylum feels like a conduit for paranormal activity in DC.

Great. Now, how does this equal Jeremiah having metahuman abilities? Well, I am glad you asked.

The Silverlock family is simply the Arkham family, except it is extended. And almost everyone in that family has been noticeably affected by magic and/or is metahuman.

Which, if Jeremiah is a distant cousin of Olive, and a descendant of Amity, that makes him susceptible to whatever gene caused metahuman abilities in them.

And with the many stories of Jeremiah hearing ghosts or ‘seeing his uncle’ PLUS the ‘hallucinations’ he has had in RP, it would make sense that it is not just his insanity causing these vivid images of his family.

It also adds an extra layer of the need for accountability and self-improvement to learn how to hone and utilize this ability in a way that can help him and his asylum; which leaves a lot of room for character growth and development.

I really hope this makes sense. If not, I will try and break it down more lol.

And if I had to summarize my Jeremiah Arkham rp blog with one song…

Remove most of the romantic subtext, and it just fits so painfully well. The possessiveness, the manipulation, the love-bombing, the subtle hints of sadism.

It feels so intrinsic to his character that I could break down each line in this song to how it corresponds to his emotions and interactions with different characters.
