My favorite part of [voicing Darth Maul for Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out] had to be that “I’m So Awesome” song, of course. But I’ve done these Star Wars jobs for awhile now, and I’m a Star Wars fan, so I daresay I know Star Wars pretty well. So to be able to kind of poke fun at it is a good time, especially when you don’t really go too far with it. As much as I still blame Johnson, Kennedy and Abrams for the current state of SW, the behavior of some antis really saddens me.

Criticizing the director who had a direct input in it and deserved everything he got for his horrible treatment of the fans is one thing. But harassing an actress who had no input in the plot and just happened to pick a wrong project and character to play is not nice, gives the whole anti community a bad name and gives the Reylos actually legitimate reasons to criticize us. I expected better from my fellow antis. My best wishes to Kelly Marie Tran. She did not deserve this. I really hope she won’t let this stop her and gets a genuinely good role somewhere.

I love this because I’ll be watching a movie and think “how did they do that? Is that a building they built for this movie? Was it there beforehand? Is it cardboard or CGI? Is that actually some place on Earth that they’re filming?” And the answer to all of these now is “nope, that’s a painting”. I can’t believe some of the most iconic, familiar shots were paintings!
