Yes. And I feel like telling a story, so here we go!

My 5th grade teacher didn’t let me go to the nurse’s office after my thumb got hit with a soccer ball (someone kicked it at me). It was literally purple, swollen, and hard to move but he wouldn’t let me go because “it didn’t look broken.”

I already had a hard time with this teacher as he never liked me for some reason. He would separate me from my friends during lunch with no explanation and sometimes blatantly ignore me. My sister had him a few years prior, and not that she was a trouble maker or anything, but she would talk out of turn sometimes, and maybe he thought that I would be the same. I was, and still am VERY shy, so I never spoke up or even raised my hand in class, let alone speak out of turn. Even if my sister DID act out though, I shouldn’t have been treated the way I was.

Back to the thumb thing though, I went to the hospital and guess what?? The tip of my thumb was fractured to the first knuckle. When I showed up the next day with my hand wrapped up and people asked me what happened, I was honest. I was telling people the teacher didn’t let me go to the nurse. That man actually pulled me aside and told me to stop telling people he didn’t let me go because “HE NEVER SAID THAT” AND THEN ASKED IF WE WERE ON THE SAME PAGE???

I’m sorry, WHAT????

Anyways, yes I’ve had beef with a teacher, and I still have beef with him to this day.

Errors Accessing AO3

We are investigating reports of errors when trying to load AO3, including errors saying that AO3 is down, which seem to be related to the previous incident. We will update when we have more information!

AO3 is now fully down. After performing a software upgrade a few days ago, we've been unable to keep our server cluster healthy due to what we believe is a bug or issue with the new release of our database server software.

We're working with our vendor's support team to understand the cause and whether reverting or upgrading further will best resolve the issue without continuing the cycle of up and downtimes.

We do not currently have an estimated time for when we will be back up, but we expect it to be multiple hours at minimum. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update you when we know more.

Following guidance from our vendor, we've brought AO3 back online to help troubleshoot. We expect the site will go back down, although we don't know when that will happen.

If you choose to post or update your works while AO3 is up, we strongly recommend making sure you have a backup of any text you are attempting to post.

DOWNLOAD YOUR FICS NOW PEOPLE. We don’t know when the site will go back down and we don’t know how long it will be out for. Let the volunteers work without us bombarding them with reload requests because the site won’t load.
