Herself especially, though she was considerably tinier and thinner than the rest. Still, she knew just how exhausting all of this was. Even if he wanted to hide it, she wouldn’t be easily fooled.

“Well, it’s not like it’s my decision. That’s up to Souji-senpai… and maybe Yosuke-senpai,” she hummed quietly, tilting her head, “Though it’s not like I fight anyway. I’m solely support. Do you even have a weapon lined up yet?” Though in her opinion, no one could show up Souji. That was impossible. Not even an option.

“Oh, certainly. I can’t think of anything that sounds more fun than this.” The opportunity to humiliate a scumbag murderer? Unmissable. “I can’t wait to catch that son of a bitch and dig it in that they were bested by a bunch of school kids.” Because obviously they’re going to succeed; they have Karma on their side now. Karma is brilliant. He’s cheerfully ignoring the sharp gaze Rise has leveled at him ( there’s something too-knowing about her eyes ) and is instead doodling on the corner of his worksheet. “So, Souji-senpai is the leader, then?” Karma tilts his chin up. He’ll see about that. ( See if the senpai’s authority inspires respect ). “Well, alright. I can run my weapon choices by him, I suppose. You can even come along; I’m certain you’d enjoy the excuse to see him.” And now there’s a sly grin slanting his mouth.

( Karma skips school when he feels lazy, not when there’s a whole new world to be discovered and utilised ). He’s exhausted, of course; drawn, pale, weakened. But he tilts his chin up and shows none of it. “The way I see it, my joining your little group would be the best way of repaying you all for charging into that world to come to my rescue.” Much as it stings to admit that he needed rescuing ( much as it stings to remember the encounter with his own Shadow ). “Don’t worry; I won’t show any of you up too much.”
