Yo! Just wanted to apologize for my lack of activity. It’s been a hectic few days with my fam and I cleaning house/painting our house. By the time we’re done I’m too tired to sit and rp. I’ll hopefully get back on the writing horse soon. Hello all though!!

Pink and purple dotted the dipping valley, the flowers bending beneath the brush of the breeze. Yuuri stood at its edge with a straw basket in the nook of her arm and a backpack slung on her shoulders. She was most conscious of the weight of the small pocketknife she carried in her skirt’s pocket and at times her left hand would reach in as she surveyed the horizon just to make sure it was still there.

Doing this once more before she stepped into the valley, the crinkle between her brows faded as she bent forward to inspect a light purple flower. The task today was to brighten up her new home. According to the organization, there would be others housing with her so it was only right for her to tidy up the place for them. Taking out her knife, she sliced the flower’s stem and placed it in her basket. She would place these in the rooms, bringing color to the otherwise bleak house. Yuuri repeated the process, gathering more flowers.

There was an overbearing emptiness that Yuuri couldn’t stand. Her thoughts would return to people she couldn’t see and things she couldn’t do and the neglected house with its loose wooden boards and creaking floors reminded her too much of certain parts of her old school. So, she was outside. Picking flowers would have been one of Yuki’s suggestions, Yuuri was sure. So she picked and picked until her basket was almost full enough to fill her thoughts. And she whispered absentmindedly with one pink flower held between her fingers. “Ruu would love these.”

「♰ 」Every bit of information was being crammed into his head all too fast so when the creatures began to chase him, the male took off almost tripping each time. His legs felt heavy- almost like he’s been sleeping for too long. Though the silver haired male rushed carrying his bag in one hand, he struggled trying to keep his balance as he turned streets and corners.

Using his innocence was no use. Allen could not hear it and did not wish to hurt the creatures too much. Besides he promised only to use it on akuma’s. These things can easily be take down with a punch. When one appeared and ran full speed towards him, Allen jumped and landed on its body knocking it out before continuing to run. Man.This sucks. When he spotted an alley, the young boy ran faster to avoid being seen and turned there sliding to the ground and crashing into piles of empty boxes and some trash. SAFE! ❝ Phew! ❞ Allen sighed in relief but his moment of peace didn’t last long when he heard a rustle and looked up expecting to see those giant mushroom things. Instead he met eyes with a girl, probably around his age, who stood with an expression that seemed like surprise. Or maybe shock?. Allen smiled either way and waved despite still being on the ground.

❝ Are you running from those things too? ❞ He asked standing up and picking up his bag. Great, his only clean outfit is dirty now. This day is truly one of the worst.

The footfalls quickened, growing louder with each thump, filling the space where Yuuri’s breath would have sounded. But it came back in a grand inhalation of surprise as a blur of color shot past her and fell like a star...hitting concrete. There was a crunching of trash and the coughing of boxes pushing out their burden of air and then the star had finished its tumble. Yuuri stepped back, wary though uncertain of what to do. She could see him now but despite his un-Gomorin being, she was mindful still of their distance. The zombies, at least, had been predictable and the Gomorins were more or less limited to their orders. Strangers were dangerous.

But he spoke and he waved and the words calmed her. Too, he had said. That meant he was a new arrival as well. She wasn’t alone. “Yes, I just got here.” Though, perhaps it would be better to say that she had just woken up. Still, Yuuri zipped open her bag, picked one of her water bottles, and extended it to him. “If you need one. I’m Wakasa, Yuuri, by the way.”

Light poured in from the wide entrance, the brightness blinding Yuuri who had Even so, she ran forward. The voice’s last word resounding heavily in her chest, Yuuri did not wait to see whether or not what they had said was the truth. Her running was mechanical and the more she ran the more she recalled. She paid no attention to the streets, seeing more memory than road. Fear pushed her on, fueled her footsteps, but the emotion sloshed around her chest without its usual sharp prickling pangs.

After running down several blocks, she turned a sharp corner and slid into an alleyway. Her heart beat in her eardrums loudly and incessantly but Yuuri could still hear the fast footsteps of the creatures who had been assigned to chase her. Biting her lip, she pressed herself against the wall as they passed and waited.

Misunderstanding is not the basis of conflict. Even if one were to understand the motive behind a person’s actions it would not end fighting, it would not create peace. No, understanding must be paired with connection. If people were connected, they would not only understand but they would also feel. To feel the pain of another, to feel their emotions, would that not hinder us from harming one another?

We found the Kizna System f a s c i n a t i n g! The original group behind the system had gone so far to try and find the basis of human connection only to stop short. So, we picked it up, dusted it off, and improved the system, the project. After a few test runs, we built our own city, Tomoshi, and started to select participants from all sorts of times and worlds. And here you are.
