Ive been asking this question around to people but do you know any good fics where Rey does take Ben's hand in TLJ? Or do you know any good post TLJ fics where Rey and Leia talk about the forcebond/Leia finds out? I need some good TLJ fics recommendations.

Can I just say…

He looks so in love here.

And I’m not just saying that as a wishful shipper in her feels. Like, the way that Adam is portraying Ben in this scene, he seriously looks like someone who is in love with someone else, and can’t for the life of him explain how that happened.

And I feel like they took this out and used the other clip, because this one is just so soft. Too soft. It doesn’t match the intensity of the scene that preceded it, or the one that follows. It’s almost casual? I don’t know if that’s the word I’m looking for. In this version of the scene, It’s just a pure, raw moment between two people, as if they were normal people in the real world, not force wielding superhumans who just defeated a sadistic overlord and his guards. Maybe not casual, but He’s literally just like,

“Yeah, you really don’t have any significant place, or stakes in all of this if you think about it. But see, you’re the most significant person in the galaxy to me. I don’t get it. You come from nothing, but you’re everything to me. Don’t you see that?”

He didn’t bring up the fact that she “came from nothing” to be spiteful. He brought it up for practicality sake to make his point (granted, not the best approach, at all lol) When it comes down to it, He is such an analytical thinker. We saw that earlier in the film when he was so focused on working out the technicalities of their bond. He’s putting all of the facts together of why he shouldn’t be in love with her, but he is. He is in love with her. Whether he knows to call those feelings love yet or not, he knows that they are there and they are real. And he’s trying to explain it to her. (In the most Ben solo way he knows how, which is unintentionally really insensitive. Uncle Luke never taught this little star fighter how to talk to girls loll) Not only to her, but to himself too.

He doesn’t know how to properly put it into words, but here, you can see it plain on his face.
