Speaking as a nonbinary self shopper: Y’all seriously have to do better.

Make gender neutral readers in imagines the STANDARD. I should not have to beg for imagines where the reader is not some skinny blonde girl! I shouldn’t have to beg you to use they/them pronouns!

If there’s a request for an f/o with a nonbinary person, and you derail that prompt to make it all about the person coming out as nonbinary to the f/o, I am stopping you right the fuck there.

And please. PLEASE. If you are going to assign gender to the insert, PLEASE PUT SOME KIND OF WARNING OR SOMETHING! I was reading an imagine that was not marked at all, and it was just some cute domestic stuff when it turned out that the “twist” was that the reader was pregnant all along, and it made me severely uncomfortable.

I want to remind the community that there’s still an anon (or a group of anons? either way pathetic) posing as other selfshippers and slinging slurs left and right, especially about “stealing” your f/o. I’ve gotten one or two every month when I’ve had anon turned on, been called slurs, had my f/o’s called slurs, and other selfshippers called slurs in almost all of them. 

And as always, if you ever receive one from “me,” I beg of you to know it’s not me sending them. I do not send hate, and if I had an issue with someone, I’d message them myself, rather than send something anonymously.

Just a reminder that Vincent van Gogh did not eat yellow paint to make himself feel happy, he ate paint, and drank different chemicals because he was suicidal and this is why he was not allowed in his studio while having breakdowns. He also did not paint starry night and his other great works because he was depressed, he painted most of them while he was in recovery and demonstrated his hopefulness and love of the world through this. Most of his great works were painted from his room at a hospital. Van Gogh’s depression should not be glorified. His hope and effort toward a better life, as well as his recovery from depression should be glorified.
