Sorry I haven't posted in a while i accidentally threw away a plot item and the thought of having to grind the dungeon for a drop to attempt to get the item again made me not want to touch mabi

...and then i got super into playing minecraft for several months before feeling the urge to try again 🙃

Like. She could have been prime candidate if it wasn't for the fact that Eirawen is my fucking daughterrrrrr (also the fact that she's royalty and that is immediate sadface territory for Rinne, plus you know Eirawen is too busy with Kingly Activities to spend time with her :((((( )

Rinne had been in Erinn for a long while. Not as long as a certain Tragic Bard, but still around the time when the people of Partholon were still walking. She was lost and aimless, until she met a man. A prince, rather, but despite the difference in worlds the two grew oh so close. Though this closeness had grown into something more, she knew his heart grew fonder of another, and accepted the joy in seeing a dear friend grow happier.

Of course, that happiness would never last. Everything Rinne's dear friend had had been slowly and painfully taken from him. And the man she knew slowly became cold. Distant. Slowly and surely consumed by grief, eventually disappearing from the world and her memory; until she found him again, as nothing more than a desperate husk that desired revenge at any cost.

The one she knew had already been long gone.

Despite the fact she was always one to help, no matter what, she had convinced herself that keeping a distance will protect her. Their thanks was enough. The fact that she can defend the world she cherished was enough.

And yet time and time again, whenever the weight of her failures could nearly crush her, a certain someone would come to bear it alongside her. He had made a promise, after all. And for once...she had felt that maybe, maybe she finally could confide in someone.

...But what was the point of a promise if its foundation was built on lies?
