I’m so tired of these “progressive” terms that do nothing but prove that you still don’t see trans people as real men/women. How often do you see someone say “he identifies as cis” rather than “he is cis”?  They act like it makes sense because you can’t choose to become cis, you just are, but then act like being trans is any more of a choice. Have you ever heard someone being called “cismasculine”? No, of course not, they’re not cismasculine they’re just men. So are trans men, for fuck’s sake.  I’m tired of “preferred pronouns” as if it’s nothing but a preference. I’m tired of being asked my pronouns because while real men are obviously he/him, you just can’t be sure for trans men.  I’m tired of people acting like “trans man” is an identity separate from “man”.  So just so we’re clear, I don’t “identify” as a trans man. I don’t “identify” as a man. I just am one. The trans part is a descriptor. not a modifier.

I find it curious they don’t fit at all the idea SJWs seem to think (for some reason) North Africans are supposed to look like. Like how people think ancient Egyptians looked like Sub-Saharan African populations so they try to portray ancient Egypt that way (which is interesting because there’s never really been evidence of native Egyptians looking like that throughout history).

Note: most people in ancient Egyptian depictions who DO have darker tones and more Sub-Saharan features were depictions of mostly Nubian and Ethiopian slaves. Egypt was kinda big on slavery, they liked having others build their vast monuments to themselves.

Ancient Egyptians weren’t white, but they weren’t America’s idea of “black” either. Both protrayals are wrong, and either misinformed and naive or pushing an agenda.

Africa is a huge fucking continent, and Egyptians do not look the same as Sub-Saharan people.

This personally annoys me because I’m partly Egyptian (or at least, 1/4 of my family can be traced back to Egypt for a longgggg ass time) and people don’t believe me. Because “Egypt is in Africa and you don’t look black”... Is this Mean Girls?

I’m not against black people playing Egyptians in media at all, but just admit that it is inaccurate. You can’t protest white people playing ancient Egyptians but act like black people are anymore accurate.

Recently, I replied to a non-dysphoric’s side blog specifically created to “battle truscum/transmeds/TERFs/etc.” 

I asked some critical questions of them and I got blocked. It’s the silliest thing in the world... They will reply to insults and anon hate all day, but block anyone with legitimate criticisms because their arguments don’t hold up and they don’t actually know how to stand behind their beliefs (because their beliefs are intrinsically flawed and hypocritical.)

Regarding the trans playboy model discourse and bullshit - I’d just like to publicly take a moment to personally thank the “gender critical” “gender is a social construct” “gender doesn’t actually exist” “gender non-conforming” “non-binary” aspect of feminism that has so royally fucked the way trans people are perceived by the non-trans majority. I’d just like to take a moment to thank the moron’s who scream about “gender is a spectrum” “there are 803454345 genders” - a very personal thank you to trans flacktavists like Riley Dennis and Milo Stewart, who have taken what it means to be transgender and turned it into a fashion statement, a buzzword-laden confusion soup and a fucking joke. Thank you to all of you for all of your tireless hours of hard work making it so much harder for trans men and women to simply exist in this world without being dissected, inspected and placed under a microscope and scrutinized.

As far as the playboy model goes - Ines Rau is physically indistinguishable from any other playboy model. She’s a woman, she’s undergone every physical transition to achieve her feminine body and to say that that body is any less female than any other body when you literally could not distinguish between them without prior knowledge is outrageous. If you’re a man who’s attracted to women, Ines Rau is probably quite attractive to you. Because she looks like a woman. That’s okay, embrace that, it doesn’t mean anything about you or your orientation to be attracted to what you’ve always been attracted to.

I’m just so blown away by the anti-trans sentiment I see from every corner right now… but I’m not stupid. I know why it’s happening and what’s causing it. I know where it’s coming from and why the tides are shifting against transgender individuals once again.

So, again, thank you to all of the people who have recently clambered their way into our spaces and used our voices and identities like costumes to further their political agendas and ridiculous fantasies and ideas. I’m sure once the majority opinion of trans people has once again reached a point where we fear to be outed and live in secret to remain safe you’ll all drop your pretty non-binary titles and multiple word genders to escape the newest round of oppression and violence you’ve rained down on all of our heads. I wish we all could so easily escape the persecution you’re so eagerly engendering… but unfortunately for some of us this isn’t about politics, it’s just our fucking lives.

Tucutes are cool people! Just as worthy of love and patience as everyone else. Just because they don’t grasp the concept of trans doesn’t make them evil. And sure, I get mad because the last thing I want is my condition to be demedicalized/not be taken seriously/made to look like a joke, but catch me NOT telling a tucute to “choke” or “die” or “dont interact!1!” Like they do to US. I feel like it’s frequently brushed over that a lot of us used to be “tucutes” as well (although usually without that label.)

I remember being young and accepting of all tumblr identities and identity politics. I just wanted to be a good person, and the easier route is believing in what people around you accept as “good”. It can be fucking hard to be critical and go against the status quo, and Tumblr IS a very accepting place... Youth in general crave that acceptance and community. 

Now when I was 15 I don’t think the label “tucute” even existed, and being trans wasn’t nearly as prominent on Tumblr, but I still tended to follow any far-left opinions the majority of this website seemed to agree upon. I didn’t post about my political opinions or harass people, because I had some self-insight that told me I really didn’t know what I was talking about (and come on, you just don’t bully people you disagree with.)

Anyways, regardless of what tucutes think, most truscum don’t think they are evil. But we do understand their ideology is very flawed and can be very damaging. Criticizing someones ideas isn’t the same thing as thinking they are a bad person. Tucutes should learn this and we could actually have constructive conversations. Unfortunately, a lot of their ideology is based around that we are x-phobic and x-sexist people, so those conversations may not happen anytime soon.

You know, I’m personally “pro-choice”, but I still think it’s not the most beneficial route to minimize how hard an abortion can mentally be on a women.

Is OP being fair and compassionate? No way. But acting like an abortion is a simple choice which should be easy to move on from is what turns women “pro-life” after they get an abortion themselves, and in turn realize how fucking heartbreaking it can be.

If you find it easy to move on from an abortion, fair enough. But the majority of the time that is not the case. Hell, I know many pro-choice women who refused to get an abortion even in the worst circumstances, because they knew they wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Part of being pro-choice is realizing how gutwrenchingly hard the choice in question is. You have to realize that guilt and shame and second-guessing are normal after an abortion, and you have to be extremely compassionate to those women.

Motherbychoice is right by saying for some it’s not as simple as moving on. And we still need to support those women.
