Empty Apartment

Haikyuu Characters x Gender Neutral Reader

“I felt hollow like this empty apartment.”

Our once noisy apartment, filled with laughter and a series of "I love yous," now quiet and only filled with memories of our time together.

telling each other that we were supposed to stay forever, supposed to start a life together in this apartment. None of the promises we ought to have made came through; were the promises we made bound to be broken? Were we bound to end? Moving on was always an option, leaving and finding myself again, but I find myself stuck—stuck in this area, an area where I felt happy, an area where I felt content and free.

It's stupid to still stay in a place where memories linger and run free. I looked around—boxes around the room where we would dance, the room where we would sit quietly and admire the beauty of the moon that illuminates the room at night.

I should be happy that I get to explore a new side of me—a side where I’m free, a side where I change for the better—but something feels off. I want you to notice that I’m growing into the person I ought to be. Cliche, I feel like this empty apartment—hollow, and full of nothingness because you’re not there to fill this void of loneliness.

A new person or couple would replace the memories in this apartment—memories that would be buried and turned into something new, memories that should be long forgotten.

I have to say goodbye, but for some reason I can't. When I say goodbye, I feel like something inside me dies, something ends, and would never heal—it would just be buried deep inside.

Saying goodbye was always the hardest part. I’ll miss the room where the moon would be seen from the window of our bedroom, and I’ll miss how it illuminates the room late at night.

I’ll miss us.

Memories Stayed

"I’m happy that I held you close, happy that I had you for even just a short period of time."

I knew we were losing touch, but a part of me still loves you.

I tried moving on, but the memories were still warm and fresh in my mind. The sentence "Let’s end this", felt unreal. That time I hoped it was all just a dream, but reality slapped me hard.

Glancing at the spot where you used to lay next to me, it felt cold. I reminisce about the time when we both would laugh at silly stories that we had as kids and the time when we’d hold each other for long periods of time just because we missed each other.

Love is so confusing and vague—full of mysteries—that you need to dive deep in order to love someone. I was confused—how did we drift apart even after years of being together? I knew we had uncertainties, but I never knew we’d be apart. Deep inside, it’d take years to heal my wounded heart, but at least the memories that we had would keep me warm and safe, even if you, the person I cherished and loved, were gone.

He was your only love. Every second, minute, hour, and day passed, but he was still the person you'd choose each time. Each step that you take he is there with you.

Looking at him, oh so lovingly, made you feel butterflies in your stomach. It felt unreal to be with the one and only Miya Atsumu; he looked at peace while he danced the night away with you.

It felt unreal to be dancing with him; he was enticing and full of light, leading you two together as you did your first dance at your wedding.

Can you tell this was rushed, yes? I just really wanted to make a short drabble about this song ong. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

When, at times, your home doesn't feel like home, his arms felt like home. Every embrace and touch you receive feels warm and comforting—something that you've been longing for.

Maybe you two were each other's homes. Laying there, listening to his soft hums, made you realize that maybe, maybe, he is the person you need for the rest of your life.

Rises the Moon

Everything felt like drowning for them; it seemed like life decided to pull them down just like the sun sets at noon. Life felt unbearable at that moment, but when they looked at you, everything felt fine.

Even when days felt heavy on their shoulders, you were there to lift them up.

At that exact moment, when you were lying your head on their shoulder, they felt like you were the calm after the storm, the sunshine after the rain, and the moon that lit up their darkest times.

Closing their eyes, they knew everything was perfect, even if it seemed like the days were getting harder to live through.

A very random post, I can only write Haikyuu!! characters as of the moment.

Just a little fluff where Akaashi confessed his admiration towards you.

"I'm not sure how I'll say these words to you. I'm not the most verbal person in the world, nor am I the most affectionate out there; I may not say "I love you" all the time, but you need to know that you're the person I'd choose each day—you're the person I'll choose in the morning, noon, and night. The person I'd choose for my future, after life, and the lives I'll have "It's you that I choose to love and indulge myself in."

You carefully read each sentence and word in the letter given to you. You didn't know what to feel; every sentence was just so overwhelming—but not in a way you'd feel upset; it's just that you've never experienced this type of love.

It's so pure and full of admiration. Akaashi never failed to impress and make you love him more; it seemed like each sentence was well thought out and made you feel loved.

He never failed to make you smile. Hugging the letter tight, you kept it in the box where all the letters he wrote were hidden and kept by you. Each letter meant so much, and you'll cherish them forever.
