i used to always wonder why people would come back to their cr after shifting to their dr; why come back here after you could get everything you want?

but i really thought it about it, and even though i haven’t shifted yet, when i do— i would still come back here.

i can’t replicate the life i’ve lived here, the people i’ve met, the friends i’ve made, the family i have, and the experiences i’ve had—good or bad— without replicating this exact reality.

I know this isn’t something people put too much thought in, and this post isn’t me hating on permashifters— i get the appeal in that decision, too.

In all, thinking about this really put my realities in perspective for me, no reality is perfect—and i wouldn’t want it to be. Just because my dr seems to be my perfect, dream place doesn’t make it on some different value level than of my cr.

is anyone else unable to listen to music normally after you found out about shifting? i cannot be normal about a song, i always gotta relate it to one of my drs.

whether it's a song that i claimed for my singer dr or a song that reminds me of my life in my dr or my relationship with someone in my dr, i always imagine at least one dr when i listen to music.
