“Cross stitch helped save my life” is a weird thing for me to say and yet…
Time to try and guess something about me.
Which one of these three is MY favourite Genshin Impact character?
Kaedehara Kazuha
Diluc
Venti
(Making this post unrebloggable, but you can find individual post of these on my blog.)
And the correct answer is...
VENTI!!!
Thanks to everyone who indulged me on this! <3 This was fun and interesting!
Venti from Genshin Impact.
My siblings got me into Genshin Impact last January, so I'm stitching each of our favourite characters.

The stitching and the memes go on.
Here's an English-language article about Norway's scandalously bad treatment of trans people in research btw
Over a thousand Rikshospitalet patients were included in scientific studies without consent. Now, researchers await the National Research Et
International attention on this incident is an effective pressure mechanism because, among other things, the ridiculously unethical research was published in English-language scientific journals.
Trans research from the Nordic gender clinics has been trying to construct a correlation between receiving gender-affirming care, especially puberty blockers, and worsening mental health outcomes for a while now. Leaders of the youth gender clinics in these countries have spoken at conferences with SEGM, a known anti-trans hate group. Major breaches of patient confidentiality laws is to be expected when the research is being performed by zealots who think their methods are justified by their mission to restrict and eliminate trans healthcare.
The excuse used for a lot of this was that instead of research, it was "quality assurance". Quality assurance that just happened to involve PhD candidates. Those are employed as researchers, so that's already a really weird use of those employees' time. Anyway, publishing that "quality assurance" in scientific journals is pretty much an admission that it was research rather than quality assurance.
Finally, the best thing these people could do to ensure quality of care at Riksen would be to fucking resign, because of their well-established complete disregard for internationally recognized best practices in trans healthcare, and their proven track record of willingness to engage in academic and medical misconduct against vulnerable patients.
izzat the source of that "transition makes mental health worse" paper that recently made the rounds?
Those would be Riksen's friends in Finland, who's been at the same SEGM conferences as the people behind this research.
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

This got more traction than I imagined and has motivated me to make a more thorough survey where I can actually parse the data.
No email is necessary to input to complete the survey. Please also consider sharing this off tumblr with people in your life to get a broader sample, especially people who love history and love museums!
Please give your thoughts on Generative AI (such as Sora, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) usage in museums, archives, and other cultural heritage sit
New visual for the 10th anniversary, set to appear on stickers distributed at Fantasy on Ice, and a limited edition 10th anniversary Bluray release.
you have permission to pick that 2 year old "abandoned" project back up. it's not mad at you for setting it aside. and maybe time and distance have helped ease or erase the things that made you put it down in the first place.
my unfinished battle jacket was hanging in a closet for two years + an entire move with some patches pinned on just waiting to be sewed in place. when i picked it back up everything was still waiting for me to start stitching.
i PINKY promise.
everyone loves to hate terfs until they realise that it actually entails rejecting bioessentialism entirely and then suddenly you’re “taking things too seriously” and you “don’t have a sense of humour” like i’m sorry but saying protect the dolls doesn’t make you immune to terfism it has seeped into every corner of mainstream feminism and unless you’re actively searching it out and checking your own biases you will always be at risk of sharing a space with terfs
“Only women can—” nope. “But all men—” nah. “The divine femininity of—” gonna stop you right there. “Everyone born ama—” if you finish that sentence I’ll kill you. “Men don’t experience—” you’re wrong. “Gender isn’t real but sex is imm—” *loud incorrect buzzer*
It also goes without saying that bioessentialism inherently can’t be trans inclusive no matter how hard you try. “All men including trans men—” probably not. “This is only a woman’s issue—” is it really? “Afabs only—” why? “All trans men are like—” what? what are they like? finish the sentence i dare you.
"Wow, you're really good at this, you should do this professionally" okay but have you considered that I don't want to because that would suck all the fun out of this thing that I do for fun and entertainment and it's actually a conscious choice to not do this professionally because that would destroy the very reason I do this to begin with
"You should monetize this hobby" You should go outside and leave me alone
