a couple of tumblr functions if you didn’t know about them:

So I thougt`d post a week worth of doodles. The first two are quotes from Supernatural, Castiel more especially. The third one is from a young Locke Lamora in The Republic of Thieves. The last four are a part of the lyrics of a song from Breaking Benjamin. I`m almost ashamed for the quality of the photos. I took them with my phone, which has an incredible shitty camera.

You're right! I didn't know the song, but I also think that "the eye of the tiger" from Survivor fits Hadrian remarkably well when he returns from Calis. There should be a fanmix actually.

I wonder if Royce likes his hood so much because it hides his possible elven-features (along with that it makes him look grumpy) even though he knows you can't see it. Since he knows he'll be treated like scum when anybody finds out and wearing the hood is a protection from that.

And here it is. It has become a bit blurry when I tried to upload it, but nothing to do about it. 

I imagened Royce as something like this at the end of book 5/begin 6. The text is quite full of spoilers and not literal from the book.

Imagine it:

A Riyria fanfic called Theft Of Sheets, in which Royce and Hadrian fight over the blankets while travelling.

It was a cold night and when Hadrian said cold, he meant really freaking cold. He was probably just not used to the winters here anymore. This was his first real winter since he had came back from Calis and there it never froze. He knew it could be a lot worse, but it was bad enough for now.

“I’m cold,” he complained, for the fourth time this hour.

“I know,” his partner replied, the hood of his cloak was pulled farther over his head than normal. “What do you want me to do about it?”

Hadrian shrugged. “You could reveal your incredible magic powers and make the sun shine. Or you could hand me a blanket. Either one will do, but I would enjoy the first one more.”

“Your backpack is closer to you than me. Get it yourself if you’re so damn cold.” Royce said. He put his hands out of his sleeves and threw another piece of wood on the fire. Normally the thief was against fire, but the weren’t on a job right now and he had let himself be persuaded by Hadrian.

“Yeah, you’re right, but then: you got the blankets.”

“No, I don’t.”

For a moment Hadrian thought he was joking, but Royce was never joking. It was barely a year ago since the decided to team up, but he already learned that.

“Yes, you do. I got the food for the horses, you got the blankets. I said that to you, you agreed.

“I didn’t. Weren’t you drinking last evening? You probably mistake me for the door or something similar.”

Hadrian had drank last evening, but he was sure he didn’t get that drunk. No, he definitely remembered asking Royce. But when he thought it through, he couldn’t recall if the thief had answered. “I wasn’t drunk. Just celebrated that we stole some fake jewels from a priest without getting caught.”

“Yeah sure, does celebrating also means singing?” The accentuation of the last word did make clear this was somehow proof for Hadrian drunkenness and therefore the forgetting of his blanket. Hadrian couldn’t see the point the thief was making.

“Yes? Sometimes.”

Finally the hood turned away from the fire and stared at him. Or probably stared at him; Hadrian couldn’t see Royce face. “No, people only sing if they are drunk, or when they go to church but that’s a whole different kind of singing.” Hadrian chuckled. “Sorry Royce, but this is my expertise. People sing when the are cheerful. People can also be cheerful when they aren’t drunk,” he said and added under his breath: “Except you, of course.”

“I heard that. In Ratibor they only sing when they are drunk.”

“But then Ratibor is a hell of an uncheerful city.”

The thief nodded and kept silence. After staring in the flames for a few minutes Hadrian realised the thief wasn’t thinking of a snappy response.

“Did you ever get drunk?” He could hardly imagined it; Royce not able to walk straight or worse still: singing.

“Yes, once and I hated it,” his partner replied quickly. “But it doesn’t matter if you were drunk or not. You forget your blankets. I hope you don’t lose a toe tonight. You won’t stop whining tomorrow.”

“Hey, that not fair!” Hadrian exclaimed. “It was kind of your fault too. Can’t we take turns or something?”

“No, it wasn’t.” Royce got up and kicked sand over the fire. “And life isn’t fair.”

Hadrian growled and tried to find a place far enough from the fire where he didn’t get his hair burnt, but still close enough to gets much of his warmth. “Isn’t it heavy? A heart of stone?” He remarked irritated. The cold was already biting at him.

“Extremely.” He heard Royce turning away from him.

For a while he tried to ignore the cold, but it made him shiver. He didn’t know how long he lied there, it seemed hours in his mind, but they still dying fire proved it couldn’t be more than half an hour.

“Will you please keep quiet?” Royce voice cut through the silence and was colder than the air. “It’s cold.”

“Oh, for Maribors sake!” He heard some noise and something was thrown at him. It was a blanket. “I checked our rooms before we left, you big oaf. Let it be a lesson.”

Hadrian wrapped himself eagerly in the sheet. “I don’t like your lessons.”

“Well, I don’t like yours.”

It was silent for a while. “Thank you,” he said at last. Royce didn’t reply. Maybe he had fallen asleep, but Hadrian doubted it.

So I'm reading the last book right now and it is already breaking my heart. But that will mean that there will hopefully be some art coming. Actually I have already started with something. It will (hopefully) be ready in a few days.
