Twins birthday party

My husband and I are preparing our twins birthday party. The hardest part is to choose the theme. Ha ha. We ended up to have ‘music’ as a theme since my husband is a music teacher. And then, my husband come up with another idea, he wants to have ‘the beatles’ as the theme party. Hope it run well. Can’t wait for the party next week. Yeay. I’ll post the photos later.

Decorating a Beach Themed House (w/great video)

Soooo I’m redecorating my apartment with a beach theme and asked for some feedback from you guys……….. and of course I got this great submission from one of my awesome followers, ebonywolf!

I’ve talked a little bit about my kitchen/home redecorating here…. 

Without sounding redundant, I live by the beach and I’m decorating the apartment with a beach/ocean theme and am looking for more inspiration.

Right now my kitchenaid is aqua green, my plate mats are bamboo aqua, an espresso coffee maker is aqua, 2 serving plates one is fish shaped the other is shell shaped, 2 side tables are retro blue, on the tables I have vases filled with sea shells I collected from the beach, wicker furniture is white with orange, my bathroom is decorated in sea shells, bathroom has 3 sea shell mirrors, has hand made beach soaps (with sea shells inside them etc) 

This link  has a similar theme as me except I have an apartment and I’m not buying a fridge, oven, microwave etc 

a) she has wicker furniture like I do

b) she has the fridge I want (retro 1950s aqua)

c) same color scheme as I do (retro blue, aqua)

d) kind of the same concept for living room decor (last picture) but I don’t want nautical decorations :/

e) she hast two kitchens…. a “wet” kitchen and a “dry” lol I guess one is for eating the other is for cooking? :s

f) The aqua laminated kitchen walls are awesome!

g) she has a cute guest bathroom that oddly enough is not beach themed…. lol Usually people’s bathrooms are beach themed but she did it the opposite way. Entire house is beach themed but not the bathroom…

h) she has a beach painted on her living room wall :O

What I don’t like:

her oven, and other appliances don’t match her retro aqua fridge. I would have done this instead.

Barbie

I've always wondered why its this way. Girls seems to think they need to live up to some fantastical body image because barbie is a skinny girl with bunch of accessories. But I don't see boys crying because they can't be superman, or he man, or any of the other thousand of muscular, world saving males heroes.
