diabolical concept: eridians typically do not move the bodies of their deceased from where that person chose to pass. the land reclaims them within a few years, anyway. but when rocky returns home, he amends his last will and testament to ask that his body be moved into grace’s biodome if he dies before grace. he wants to give grace a chance to finally make contact with his carapace without it injuring either of them. when grace finds out, he amends his own testament to do the inverse. rocky’s body would fare better in the biodome than grace’s body outside of it, but either way, they eventually get to make contact without the grief of causing pain.

[Grisps you] On Erid everyone starts out calling Grace “Hero Grace” or “Savior Grace” and it makes him kinda uncomfy for reasons he can’t articulate, but the pebbles he teaches and their parents call him “Teacher Grace” and that feels more right. And then as time goes on and he graduates more and more classes, more and more of Erid is calling him “Teacher Grace” until it’s rare to hear him called anything else. And he finally feels like he’s where he’s supposed to be. Okay good night.

Grace sneezes? Rocky jumps like a spooked cat and rants about human weirdness

Grace mindlessly kisses his hamster ball after they have a deep and meaningful conversation and rocky is like "GRACE WANT TO EAT ROCKY, QUESTION? ROCKY IS INEDIBLE, STATEMENT. WHAT THE FUCK, DEMAND!" and Grace is laughing too hard to properly explain and rocky just hunkers down angrily and swears at him in eridian

Grace puts things that are absolutely inedible in his mouth; pens, etc, or uses his mouth like a third hand because his arm is burned to shit and rocky is like omg you cannot eat that is much disgust and Grace has to explain and rocky is horrified

Grace burps and rocky leans as far away as possible from him, utterly offended, and Grace learns that burping translates into eridian as "public eater" or something just as offensive in eridian culture and has to apologise profusely and explain what burping in and rocky is disgusted

Idk just makes me happy to think of these two goofballs figuring out one anothers culture through hilarious oopsies
