What a night. I found myself laying on my bed, still the clothes I wore to the party, a flower in my hair and a pounding headache. Why didn’t anyone tell me I wasn’t as young as I used to be?

My friend on set always tells me that the best fix for a hangover or a party is to just never stop the fun. If you do though, make sure you keep some migraine pills next to your bed!

I’ve been knee-deep in kitties for the past few days. No, not what you’re thinking of; this is in preparation for the Adopt-a-Thon next week! If you’re able and have a spare pair of hands, I’d love the extra assistance.

Aw! I love kittens. I had to give my cat away due to allergies--and I wish I didn’t have them. Anyway we could perhaps donate money to help the charity? Or I could bring by cat food?

Remember that ex I mentioned before? Well, he didn’t stop at the stuff he said when I last bumped into him. Somehow he had got a hold of my phone number and received voicemails and texts from him. I am pretty sure at times some of them were from his girlfriend as well. I have no idea what I did except break up with him. It got as far as not answering the phone and not going out. Which caused my mother to wonder why I hadn’t come over. I just told her I was busy because she is so happy at the moment and I didn’t want to bring her mood down with everything. I ended up changing my number so lets hope he doesn’t try some other way.

I think changing your number and perhaps looking into a restraining order would be necessary? That all seems a little crazy and you shouldn’t have to put up with that!

I’ve got a newfound respect for all these vlloggers out there who just spend their days talking to the camera. ‘Cause I did it for like thirty seconds yesterday and I’m kinda out of shit to say. What do they talk about?

I’m a fairly boring person when I’m just at home. My grocery store habit and my shopping addiction isn’t the biggest thrillers for people to watch. Now, perhaps I’d vlog some girl nights out, but other than that I’m pretty boring. There’s only so much one can blog before you run out of topics. What did you end up chatting about for thirty seconds?

Getting closer and closer to the due date. Very excited to welcome two grump babies into the world. Not sure on the genders yet either. I am so ready to become a dad. 

Oh wow. That’s...crazy and exciting. Is everything ready for the big day or are you more rushing in the morning trying to decide if you have everything packed or not for the big day?

Who else has heard about the hurricane that’s heading in this direction? Or is it a tropical storm, still? It’s the first hurricane of this season and they’re still not yet sure what direction that it’s heading— I’m hoping that we’ll only be getting some rain out of it. Here’s to hoping to a better hurricane season than last year. 

In any case, I need to get out and about a little more. How is everyone doing?

There were a few bad ones last year and I’m hardly shocked that it started so early this year. Hopefully, we won’t get the majority of it. Last I checked, we weren’t directly getting hit. I agree about a better one than last year! I’m doing well, how about yourself?

GG rolled her eyes slightly at Lanas comment. “I could say the same about you – minus the whole kids thing.” Taking another sip of her drink, she couldn’t help but laugh at Lana. “Babe, it’s three kids now. There’s a mini you around, remember.” She grinned over in the direction of her best friend – wondering how she had forgotten about Ali, especially since she was certain Lana hadn’t fully recovered from the experience of being at her birth. “Well, they did wake me up with a few surprises this morning – far too much energy. I’m not looking forward to their birthdays next week.” She let out a slight sigh – knowing there was still so much to plan for her boys birthdays. 

“Well, yes, but the kids are what will age you the quickest, I hear,” Lana smirked. The joke over three kids had Lana immediately shaking her head. “Mmm, no, not since Oliver preferred his father over giving me a hug.” she was talking about when they left. Oli had refused to give her a hug goodbye--jokingly of course, but now she joked with Ginny. “I’m going to have to take them out one day to go shopping. I can never keep up with the local ‘trends’.

It was strange to be spending part of her birthday just with Lana – over the past years it had either been on set, working or spending it with Josh and the kids. But she found this nice, it wasn’t too often she could go out and treat herself – more focused on the three kids and making sure that they had everything. She knew that with Josh’s show being picked up, more of the responsibility for all of that would land on her. Toying with her phone, she had to resist calling her husband to see how he was managing with the three of them.

Feeling the water hit her and Lana speaking, GG moved out of her haze and looked over at her ‘lover’ with a small grin. “We’re not going to talk about how old I am, thank you very much.” She knew that Lana was older, but it was still fun to be able to say that line – she was sure every person turning forty used it at least once. “But it’s been nice, very spoiled today – by both you and the kids.” She said with a short laugh, taking another sip of wine that they were supplied. It had been a while since she had drunk anything – and was feeling it, so she hoped Lana was going to be the one in charge of getting her home at some stage.

Every time it went quiet between them, Lana had a feeling that she was thinking of the kids. What Ginnifer didn’t know was that they had flown her mother down to watch the kids and to visit her daughter afterwards. It was going to be a great night, she just had to keep up her end of the bargain. Lifting the wine up to her lips, she smirked and shook her head. “Please, you look like you haven’t aged a day since Once premiered and you’ve had two kids.” Lana smiled and brought the wine back down to the table between them. “I’m sure the kids are already working on something to surprise you with tonight,” she admitted.

Her only goal was to keep her occupied. Ginny had a nervous habit of wanting to check on the kids, but this time, the kids weren’t a phone call away. A phone call to talk to the kids would lead to Josh having to lie about where he was. It’d ruin the entire surprise and that was the one thing that she didn’t want to happen. Lana had gotten her a little tipsy, a little wild, but that was only making getting a pedicure that much more fun. 

Glancing over to her friend, she playfully splashed water over at her. “How does it feel though? Turning 40 and looking 30?”

Well, my first Mother’s Day was truly inspired! I got to spend it hanging out with loved ones and truly being spoiled with my little blossom. It’s a day I’m not going to forget any time soon. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there!

So next month is my birthday and I wanna throw myself a bomb ass party. Who wants to go get drunk and have fun? I think I can already hear my wife saying “No Frank.” But come on I only turn 53 once in my life. But for real… pool party, barbecue, drinks fun stuff for the kiddies. TONS of fun.  

Yes...one thousand percent, yes. What’s the point in living close to NOLA if we can’t enjoy the party here? It seems like the perfect way to kick off summer as well.
