You didn’t read it wrong–when she came back into the picture two years ago (holy shit, has it really been that long?) it was the first time I’d seen her since I was 15.

Apparently they’d been talking back and forth, and she kept visiting more and more, and then we were visiting her, and… I think they both had their own reasons for wanting to get back together, but…

I’m not an idiot. Regardless of their reasons I can see when I’m being coddled and I’ve outgrown the willingness to be a pawn.
