‘WAKE UP’ is all it takes for cody to jolt up from his slumber. he’s always been a light sleeper anyway – which now makes him wonder… who the fuck managed to cuff his ankle!!!!!
he pulls at the chain connecting to the metal cuff… it’s not going to budge – not with ease anyway. he’s not going to be able to remove it himself. curious eyes follow the chain along, brows wrinkling in distaste when he realises he’s attached to someone else. “oh no, is this what a real relationship is like,” grabbing the girl’s attention – half in jest and the rest is bitter. “you can heal, right? heal us out of this situation please, thank you, appreciate your kindness.”
the grudging expression donned on his cabin-mate’s face tells cody she’s not in the mood. but he isn’t either. he stands up and sighs, tugs on the chain by moving his leg. “get up, or i’ll have to drag you through the sand at 200 miles an hour. i think you’d like to keep your body intact?”
Ah! But we can't forget our resident speedster. To make things a little harder and fair for others, our Alpha Cody'll be waking up to himself being ankle-cuffed to a cabin member (mun may plot out whoever). Godspeed!
feeling a pair of eyes practically drilling holes into the back of her head, the pastel haired pinkette would turn around to meet the inquistive eyes (or judgeful, she could never quite tell the difference) and tilt her head in silent question before turning her gaze back to the plants. “they’re scared of us, i’m trying to calm them down.”
fine. today is fine - weather’s fine, girls are fine, mood is fine. “ah,” cody takes in a liberal puff of air, and loudly (exaggeratedly) exhales, “this is great!” the refreshing scent of salt merges with the cool wind combing through his hair. camp is prime for the legacies to spend time within their teams, and cody never fails in being an active participant. the only reason he’s alone now is because--
the soft murmuring of a girl interrupts his train of thought. under the impression he was simply hearing things, he whips his head around to survey his surroundings. finding her is easy -- pink hair is an awful contrast against green foliage. cody overhears what sounds like only half of a dialogue and peers around to see who the girl was talking to. no one? his brows furrow, smile perplexed -- maybe she was crazy, maybe she had 52-or-whatever personalities like that one guy from that horror movie cody saw last week which made him spill soda all over his own lap. or, she was just like him -- powered -- the more rational of explanations. “who are you talking to?”
“oh,” is all he can intelligently muster after she states a ‘they’ are scared. “you mean the plants? are you doctor doolittle.. but with leaves?” he eyes the bush next to him. he had to go for a while now. but now he’s worried he’d offend her. so he just asks -- “how do they feel about getting peed on?”
