hello anon! sorry for the long wait, but someone else made the same request, so i decided to combine both requests.
here it is! i hope you like it!
quick solution
Summary | Jungkook has the ability to erase memories with the snap of his finger. And so when you break up with your boyfriend, he offers you a quick solution to forget the pain he’s given you.
― “I wish I could forget all of our memories.” + “Want to see a magic trick?”
Genre | fluff + college!au
Word Count | 1.4k+ words
author’s note | i’ve gotten three requests with the same AU and prompt, so i decided to just write this for all three requests.. if that makes any sense lmao. it’d be weird if i wrote three different drabbles for the same AU and prompt. hope you like it!
“Stop staring at her, it’s making me uncomfortable.”
Jungkook shoots daggers at Taehyung, who stands on the other side of the countertop. You’re seated in a booth all by yourself, with a cup of hot chocolate that’s already run cold.
All over campus, Jungkook’s known as the quiet, hopeless romantic who’s in love with his childhood friend (key word: quiet). He can confidently tell the whole world that he’s in love with you, but he can’t quite find that same confidence to tell you himself. Thus, it’s his twenty-second year of existence, and he’s still loving you from afar.
“____, are you not going to touch your hot chocolate?” Taehyung asks and Jungkook punches his arm. You snap out of your trance, shifting your gaze from the window to Taehyung.
“Oh,” you frown. “I didn’t even notice. What time is it?”
“It’s almost eight,” Jungkook replies. “We’re closing the cafe in about fifteen minutes.”
Jungkook can’t help but frown when he notices you look out the window again, in search of someone, specifically your boyfriend. You and your boyfriend have been going through a rough patch lately. In fact, you had caught him going out on a date with another woman, but you couldn’t bring yourself to ending the relationship. You couldn’t swallow your pride. You’re just too selfish.
“What time was he supposed to come?” Taehyung questions.
“Two hours ago.” You mutter. When your phone buzzes, you read the incoming text and scoff. “He’s ridiculous.”
The two guys watch as you get up from your seat with your phone pressed against your ear. You head outside of the cafe. They watch you as you start yelling into the phone, and that’s when they figure it out.
“Do you think she’s going to end it?” Taehyung glances at the hopeless romantic. “I bet you’re wishing that she’ll end it.”
“She should,” Jungkook shrugs his shoulders before turning around to wipe the countertop. As he takes off his apron, he sighs. “I just wish she notices that her boyfriend is not all that great.”
“And you are?” Taehyung grins.
“I am.” Jungkook smiles. “I’m the golden boy, aren’t I?”
Before Taehyung could utter a word, the door slams behind you as you come back into the cafe. The both of them fall dead silent. You sigh, heading towards the booth you were seated at to gather your things.
“Thanks for the drink, Jungkook.” You mumble, your voice slightly cracking. “I’m going to head out.”
Once you’re out of sight, Jungkook and Taehyung share a look.
Taehyung groans. “Go after her. I’ll close up. But you owe me one!”
“You’re the best.” Jungkook smiles, grabbing his coat from the rack and running out of the cafe.
Jungkook exited the cafe just in time to see you heading towards the end of the street. He jogs over to you, shoving his hands into his pockets. As he calls out your name, you abruptly stop in your tracks to look over your shoulder.
“Jungkook,” you flash a sad smile. “I’ll be fine, you don’t need to walk me home.”
“You don’t look okay, ____.” He frowns.
“Because I’m not okay, Jungkook.” You wipe a tear that manages to escape your eye. “I ended it. He was out with her.”
“Look, he’s an asshole.” Jungkook chuckles. “Shouldn’t you be happy that it’s over? No more pain.”
“I know that I should be happy,” you whisper. “But why do I feel sad? Why do I still feel sad after all that he’s done to me?”
Jungkook sighs, watching you with empathy. You look up at the stars because it’s the only way to try to stop yourself from crying. You promised to keep yourself together because you knew that you’re not the one losing anything from the breakup. But you weren’t quite sure why you were feeling sad.
Jungkook comes up with an idea. He hesitates, but he asks anyway. “Want to see a magic trick?”
You look down from the stars, and you’re taken aback when you see those same stars in Jungkook’s eyes. You tilt your head in confusion. “A magic trick? Is it going to make me stop crying and feeling sad?”
He shrugs his shoulders. “Most likely.”
You purse your lips into a tight line. “I wish I could forget all our memories.”
“Did you just say memories?” He asks and you nod your head. He smiles, placing his hands on your shoulders. “I might just have the perfect solution for that.”
“You do?” You say, a bit hopeful.
“Whatever I do in the next couple of minutes, I want you to keep between the two of us. Okay?” You nod your head. “I just need you to close your eyes.”
“Jungkook, this doesn’t seem promising. Are you just playing with me?”
“Just close your eyes and focus, ____.” Jungkook says.
“Someone’s bossy.”
“What I’m about to do is make you forget all your memories with him.” Jungkook explains. “It’s a quick process, but what happens before you forget them, something significant will happen.”
“Like what?”
“Before your memories with him are erased from your mind, you will get a flashback of memories that you cherish. It’ll be a recollection of memories with someone you love the most. It’s the only way to help you forget the memories you don’t want to remember.” He explains. “It’s sort of like a give and take. You’ll give me the memories you want to erase, and you’ll take the memories that your heart wants you to remember for the rest of your life.”
“Seems unpromising, but let’s just go with it. Surprise me, Jungkook.”
“Okay, are you ready?” You find yourself slowly smiling. “I’ll count down from five.”
“I’m ready.” You insist.
Five. Jungkook’s voice echoes throughout your mind and suddenly you get a flashback of the day you moved into the neighbourhood. You were knocking on a door that opened to reveal a boy almost your age. He’s looking at you with large doe-eyes. You offer him a tray of cookies and you tell him that you’re his new neighbour. He thanks you and introduces himself as Jeon Jungkook.
Four. Another flashback occurs and you’re suddenly seated outside of the high school gym. Jungkook offers you an ice cream cone and plops down next to you. It was the night of prom, and your prom date stood you up. However, Jungkook tells you that he ditched his own prom date to cheer you up. But you’ll never find out that Jungkook never really had a prom date.
Three. Jungkook tells you that he has a girlfriend, his first girlfriend, to be exact. He tells you when the both of you are sitting underneath the apple tree, having a picnic. You remember being happy for him, but there was something about it that made it feel off.
Two. Another flashback occurs and it takes place in your dorm. You had skipped all of your lectures because of your painful period cramps. There’s a knock at your door and when you open it, it reveals Jungkook who’s holding a bag filled with goodies, pads, and tampons. Jungkook hands you the bag, completely out of breath as if he’d run to your dorm. He pats your head and leaves, and you watch him sprint to his next lecture. You giggle.
One. It’s a flashback of when you and Jungkook are in the library. You were taking a quick nap after studying a couple of concepts in your textbook. Jungkook nudges you awake, but you’re too tired to open your eyes. You figure that he thinks you’re still asleep, but you feel his hand brush yours. But before you decide to open your eyes, you feel him press his lips on your forehead. He whispers, “no matter what, I’ll be here for you.”
You hear fingers snap and your eyes flutter open. Jungkook looks at you with concern, but you smile at him.
“What kind of flashbacks did you get?”
You shrug your shoulders. “Of someone I should love more.”
“Interesting.” He smiles. “Do you remember him? Your boyfriend?”
He stares at you as you look at him confusedly. Your eyebrows furrow as you try to recall having a boyfriend. You’re trying to remember all the guys in your life, but you could only remember Taehyung and Jungkook. Just Jungkook and Taehyung.
You frown. “Who? A boyfriend? I had a boyfriend? Since when?”
He chuckles, ruffling your hair. “Let’s get you home before you get sick.”
author’s note | to those three who requested, i hope you liked it! this so far tops all of the drabble requests i’ve written. let me know what you think by sending me your feedback!
Hello, I'm hoping you're still doing the dabble thing. If so, I was thinking 1. The soulmate au with 3. “How did you even get stuck? I left you alone for two whole ass minutes.” with an added "What the frick is an ass minute" from whomever is stuck. With Taehyung but if the story doesn't work with him then whomever. Thanks :D
Summary | In this life, you are the only one that can heal your soulmate’s injuries as vice versa. And so when your clumsy best friend Taehyung gets into a sticky situation, the both of you unexpectedly find something out.
― “How did you even get stuck? I left you alone for two whole ass minutes.”
Genre | crack and fluff + soulmate!au also this was so fun to write skjfdd
Word Count | 996 words
“Listen, don’t get mad at me but―”
“What the fuck did you do this time, Taehyung?”
You stir awake, scrambling out of bed. It’s been about three and a half hours since you decided to doze off, but your clumsy best friend Taehyung has other plans. As you get out of bed with one eye barely open and put on one slipper, you head towards your coat rack to grab your coat. Once you reach downstairs, you finally realize that this is Taehyung, and him getting into trouble was normal, so take your damn time.
You huff out a strand of hair away from your face. On the other line, Taehyung let’s out a frustrated sigh. He knows that he always gets himself into shit and he feels bad for having you run to the rescue every single time. But he has no other choice. Jimin’s probably sleeping in the dance studio, and Jungkook’s probably too busy working on his glutes in the gym.
“There was a small bunny running across the street and it got stuck in one of the holes in the fence, so of course my dumbass would go over and try to help the poor little thing.”
You could only laugh. “So, now you got yourself stuck in the fence?”
“Bingo! We have a winner!” He exclaims in a sarcastic tone. “No but really, ____, I need you to get here quick, I need to pee.”
“Are you hurt?” You ask.
“Maybe.” He replies.
“I’m serious, Taehyung. Are you hurt?” He falls silent on the other line and you run your fingers through your hair.
“Okay, I might’ve tripped on my own two feet and scratched my cheek while setting the bunny free.”
Grabbing your car keys, you leave your house without hesitation. This isn’t new to you, so you’re basically used to having Taehyung call you up in the middle of the night because of sticky situations like these. Sometimes they were odd, but most of the time they were just plain old headassery decisions.
You start your car. “Where are you?”
Surprisingly, Taehyung’s not quite far from his apartment building. In fact, he got himself stuck in a fence in his parking lot. You park about a metre away from the fence, where you see him lying chest down on the ground.
As you get out of your car, you finally get a closer look of the situation. Suddenly, you burst out into laughter, hardly containing it. The fence has a huge hole at the bottom and Taehyung’s head is stuck in it.
“Poor little thing,” you giggle. Taehyung groans.
“Just help me get out.” He whines.
“Let me take a quick picture first.” You chuckle. “I want you to see what kind of crackhead you are.”
As you bend down to take a quick picture of him, you burst out into laughter again when he decides to pose. He holds up a peace sign and you quickly take the photo.
“Alright, let me help you out.” You say in between giggles.
As you’re trying to get Taehyung out of the hole without hurting him, you hear someone clear their throat. Turning around, you see Namjoon standing about a metre away with two cups of hot beverages.
“Is he stuck?” Namjoon asks. He sighs. “This is unbelievable.”
He places the cups onto the concrete ground before helping you out. As the both of you are pulling Taehyung by the arms, you realize that it doesn’t seem to work.
“How did you even get stuck? I left you alone for two whole ass minutes.” Namjoon groans, and you snort.
Taehyung pouts. “What the frick is an ass minute? You left me here for more than half an hour!”
“Guys, let’s just focus on the issue here. Let’s get some help to get Taehyung out because clearly, just pulling him isn’t enough.” You suggest.
Soon enough, the firefighters arrive to the scene. At first, they’re in complete shock to see a grown ass man stuck in a fence. But what’s funnier is the fact that they don’t seem to buy Taehyung’s explanation as to how he got stuck. Namjoon offers you what was supposed to be Taehyung’s cup of hot chocolate as the both of you watch Taehyung be set free.
It takes roughly about half an hour for the firefighters to tear down the whole fence itself, since it was the only way to get him out. They managed to free Taehyung out of the fence, and once he is, the three of you could only sigh with relief.
“I thought you’d be stuck in there for the rest of your life,” Namjoon thumps his forehead. “Next time, just wait for me if things like this happen again.”
You thump Taehyung’s head. “And next time, please be careful. I had lost exactly three extra hours of sleep.”
Taehyung pouts. “Sorry.”
“Alright, I’ll go head to the car to grab you some blankets. You’re probably really cold since you’ve been out here for God knows how long.” Namjoon insists.
Once Namjoon’s out of sight, you playfully punch Taehyung’s arm. He yelps in pain and rubs at his arm. You sigh, wincing at the sight of the scratch on his cheek. Reaching up to touch it, your fingers lightly trace the scratch. Taehyung lets out another yelp, causing you to tear your hand away from him.
Suddenly, the scratch on Taehyung’s cheek disappears. You let out a soft gasp.
“What? What happened?” Taehyung panics. “Is the scratch big?”
“No― It disappeared!” You exclaim. Taehyung’s gaze softens and when you finally realize it, the both of you stare at each other with small smiles. Taehyung touches his cheek and nods his head, as if he’s finally realized it too.
You’re soulmates.
“What disappeared?”
The both of you glance at Namjoon who finally arrives with a blanket and tosses it towards Taehyung. Taehyung throws his arm around your shoulder.
“Let’s go get midnight snacks!”
author’s note | i hope you liked it! i think i have only three requests left to do before i officially end the drabble game. thank you so much to everyone who has requested! it was super duper fun :-)

jimin soulmate au w/ prompt 27😘😘
Summary | When it’s time for you to meet your soulmate, a footstep counter appears on your wrist and a progress program is automatically installed on your laptop device.
―“You say that like I didn’t just run a whole track field for you.”
Genre | fluff + soulmate!au and honestly i don’t know what i was thinking with the ending but i mean???? also this was inspired by a kdrama called Love Alarm. you should definitely check it out! the second season will be coming out soon.
Word Count | 1.9k words
A bright laptop screen illuminates your dorm, stirring you awake. You swore that you shut down your laptop after submitting your essay a minute before the due date. As your hand searches for your glasses on your bedside table, you slowly get up from bed.
You squint your eyes. A loading screen pops up on your screen. Out of confusion and curiosity, you trudge your way closer to your laptop. Suddenly, when the loading bar reaches 100%, you feel a slight burn on your wrist. Wincing, you glance down at your wrist and watch a faint mark begin to appear. At the same time, you receive a notification on your laptop.
On your wrist, the number of 219 is marked. You furrow your eyebrows in confusion. Looking at your laptop, you see a program installed. It shows a home screen entitled ‘progress’.
“It’s your time,” you let out a soft yelp, turning around to see your roommate, Rose. She rubs her eyes, and you assume she had woken up too.
“It’s my, what?” You question.
She looks at your laptop screen and grabs your wrist. She analyzes your wrist for a couple of minutes before slowly looking at you.
“Your soulmate. It’s time to meet your soulmate.”
The number on your wrist does not stay constant. It changes everyday. Some days, the number gets alarmingly smaller. Other days, the number gets larger. The progress page on your laptop screen shows a bar that has reached 30%.
According to Rose, the number on your wrist represents the number of footsteps you are away from your soulmate. It’s basically a counter. The smaller the number, the closer you are to your soulmate in terms of footsteps. The bigger the number, the farther you are from your soulmate. The number is only constant when you reach your dorm, where the number goes back to 219.
The program that was installed on your laptop that night is a program that shows a progress bar. The progress bar indicates how much progress you’ve reached until you meet your soulmate. Ever since it was installed that night, you have reached 65% on that progress bar.
“He must be in our building,” Rose says. You glance up from your novel.
“Probably.” You shrug your shoulders.
She nods her head at your wrist. “How many footsteps?”
You glance down at your wrist. “Thirty.”
“Exactly thirty?” She questions and you nod. “He must be here, in the library.”
You sigh. “Rose, we have a midterm in two days and you’re worrying about my soulmate?”
“I’m just excited for you, ____.” She smiles. “Aren’t you excited? I remember when my progress bar reached a hundred percent, and a couple of hours later, I bump into Minhyuk.”
“I’m just as excited as you are, Rose. But I can’t risk failing my midterm, you know?”
“Are you still considering coming to the school’s track meet?” She asks. “It’s after our midterm.”
“We’ll see if I’m barely holding myself up.” You chuckle. “If I can still walk on my two feet and if I can keep my eyes open for a couple more hours, I’ll drop by to check it out.”
She smiles and the both of you continue to study for your midterm. Little did you know, the counter on your wrist starts to progressively increase. 30, 31, 32, 33, 34...
“A new record!”
Jimin hunches over to catch his breath. His coach checks his timer one last time and smiles. He pats Jimin’s back.
“Are you ready for the track meet on Thursday?” His coach asks and Jimin nods his head.
As Jimin heads over to his bag to grab a bottle of water, he glances down at his wrist. The number 30 remains engraved on his wrist. As he takes a quick swig of his water, the library a couple of metres away catches his eye. He makes a quick estimate. Thirty footsteps is equivalent to the distance from the library to where he’s currently standing.
He looks over his shoulder. “Coach?”
“What’s up?” His coach looks up from his phone.
“Are we done with practice?”
“We’re done for today, go wash up and get some rest. Don’t overwork yourself, we don’t want you twisting your ankle before the track meet.”
Jimin smiles. “Thanks Coach.”
Immediately, Jimin grabs his bag and slings it over his shoulder. There’s only one destination in mind, and it’s the library. As he heads to the library, he looks down at his wrist and a small smile spreads across his lips when he sees the number get smaller and smaller. 30, 29, 28, 27...
Once he enters the library, he looks at his watch again and frowns. The librarian places a ‘we are closed!’ sign on the reception desk. She waves at Jimin.
“We’re going to be closing the library in half an hour,” she tells him. “But since it’s midterm season, if you just show me your student ID, you can study in the library as long as you want.”
He smiles at her, but he immediately glances down at his wrist again. The number on his wrist gets smaller and smaller, and the beat of his heart starts to pick up its pace. 10, 9, 8, 7... He hears a faint laugh from a couple of metres away.
Seconds later, there are two women that pass by him. He watches them as they pass by. As soon as they pass by, he glances down at his wrist and lets out a soft gasp.
Zero.
You decide to watch the track meet to clear your thoughts. Your midterm was everything you thought it would be, difficult, stressful, and anxiety-inducing. But that’s just how university was. At the same exact time, you can’t seem to forget your progress bar. It had alarmingly jumped to 95%.
As you reach the track field, you spot Rose standing near the front. She’s pulling out a couple of water bottles for her boyfriend and soulmate, Minhyuk. He bops her nose and she lets out a soft giggle. You smile and wonder if that’s how it’ll be when you finally meet your soulmate.
You approach her. “I’m here, happy now?”
She smirks. “So, you decided to come.”
You glance down at your wrist and your heart stops. 3. Your eyes start to wander around you, but they seem to stop when you spot a guy standing approximately three footsteps away from you. He has his back turned towards you.
“Park Jimin, are you ready?” You hear a guy ask.
The guy nods his head, finally turning towards you. You quickly look away, distracting yourself with the cheerleaders lining up in front of Rose.
Jimin’s too nervous. He knows his soulmate is here. The last time he checked, his soulmate’s exactly fifteen steps away. But he didn’t want to stay distracted, he knew that if he found out that his soulmate was right beside him, he wouldn’t be able to concentrate.
“The race starts in a couple of minutes, I suggest you get ready with the others.” His coach suggests and Jimin complies. He fixes his shoelace one last time before heading towards the starting line, completely oblivious of a woman watching him.
You watch the guy line up at the starting line with his other opponents. He’s very handsome. He has platinum blonde hair, adorable cheeks and plump lips. He looks like a doll.
“That’s Park Jimin,” Rose nudges you. “He always wins track meets. He’s the top student in our year and faculty. He’s basically anyone a girl would want.”
You purse your lips into a tight line. “No wonder... he looks like a doll.”
“That and guess what?” She questions. “He’s single.”
“He’s single?” You gasp in complete shock.
“He hasn’t met his soulmate yet, apparently.” She shrugs his shoulders.
There’s a faint gunshot in the air and before you even know it, the track runners are racing around the track field. Your eyes are glued towards Jimin. He’s currently in first place, leaving quite a distance behind him. You’re not sure why, but you find yourself looking at your wrist.
The number on your wrist is quite active. It goes up until 110 before going back down to 0. There’s only one explanation for this, and it’s that your soulmate is one of the track runners.
“____, your counter!” Rose’s eyes widen.
You can’t take it. This is too much to handle. You shake your head. Everything was starting to spin, your heartbeat was speeding up.
“I’m going to head home, my head is starting to hurt.”
“What? But your soulmate is here, ____! Why are you running away?” She asks and you shake your head.
“This is too much, Rose.” You sigh. “Besides, there are many other chances, right?”
You don’t wait for Rose to reply, instead, you start leaving the track field. Once you’re halfway back to your dorm, you hear a faint whistle from the track field. You look over your shoulder, watching all the track runners catching their breath. The race had finished. You look at your wrist and your counter reads 50 and it increases as you continue walking towards your dorm.
You hear faint yells, almost as if someone’s being called. You let out a sigh, continuing on your way. That is, until you feel your hand being grabbed. You’re turned around and you’re facing him, Park Jimin.
He looks just as alarmed as you are. He’s completely out of breath. He looks down at his wrist. It reads 0. He pulls you into a tight hug and you’re completely taken aback and confused. You look at your wrist and it reads 0.
“Wait, what?” You whisper.
“So it is you,” he smiles.
“It’s me?” It comes out as a question.
He pulls away from the hug and looks at you. “I knew it! I had a strong feeling that it’ll be you.”
“You’re my soulmate?” He nods his head.
“____, right?”
“You know my name?”
“Of course, we took first year chemistry together and we were lab partners! Don’t you remember?” He questions. “And then I had this huge crush on you for years but then after chemistry class, I never saw you again. But then I found out that you’re a mutual friend of Minhyuk and I tried to get a hold of you―”
“I swear I just met you?” You furrow your eyebrows.
He sighs. “How do I explain this without sounding like a weird guy?”
“You don’t.” You chuckle softly. “I swear, I don’t remember meeting you at all.”
He places his hands on your shoulders. “Do you remember that chubby guy, the one that had glasses, dark brown mushroom cut?”
You blink. The longer you stare at him, you slowly start to realize it. You smile and burst out into laughter. “That was you? My lab partner? Are you sure?”
“It doesn’t matter anymore, you’re my soulmate, and that’s what matters.” He pulls you into another hug.
“You know you didn’t have to flex so hard,” you tease. “Winning a whole track race then trying to win your soulmate.”
“You say that like I didn’t just run a whole track field for you.” He frowns. “I’m exhausted.”
“Wanna come over to my dorm and... cuddle?” You hesitate.
“Sure.” He smiles.
“Jimin... I think you can stop hugging me now―”
“No, let’s just stay here for a couple more minutes.”
