Selective Indie Kirishima Roa from YGO SEVENS.

“I guess?”

But somehow, this didn’t really feel like plagiarism either. Yuuga had never made his Rush Duels something impossible for other people to enjoy. They were his, but they weren’t. He’d never claimed direct ownership of them or set any strict rules that other people had to follow.

So then, why did someone messing with his source code of them bug him so much?

“I guess what I’m trying to ask is—if someone took a RoaRomin song, modified it, and tried to re-release it, what would you do?”

The rhythmic tapping of the idol’s fingers stopped at that.

“...Are you saying someone copied Rush Duels, tried to make it their own, and is now advertising it?”

Roa may not have had all the puzzle pieces together to get a clear picture, but based on contextual clues, that sounded about right. Goha Corp was one thing, but with the booming popularity of Rush Duels these days, it wasn’t too surprising that something like this would happen.

“Do you always have a guitar close like that…?”

The question was less something Yuuga was looking for an answer to and more just a way to change the topic. He felt like he could trust Roa, but…pouring all of someone’s problems o one person was bad, too, wasn’t it?

“But I’m not trying to keep anything to myself this time. I promise! It’s just-” 

Okay, maybe he was. Roa could probably tell that much.

“You’ve probably had people try to take credit for something you’ve done before, haven’t you?”

Serenading was something Roa found necessary when he wanted to come across more charming than he already was. But he wouldn’t reply to Yuuga just like that. Instead, he shrugged his shoulders and shot a smile. Tapping his fingertips across his guitar almost thoughtfully.

He was more interested in Yuuga’s worries, so a subject change wasn’t going to happen! 

“What, like, plagiarism?”

The push was light enough to only make Yuuga flinch back a bit before his attention went back to Roa. Obviously letting his smile falter for just a second like that had been enough to give himself away, huh?

Not that Yuuga would admit that so quick though!

“…No! Everything’s fine now, really! You really helped me decide what it was I needed to do next, so I guess…I should’ve been the one giving you a gift instead of you giving me one. Like a thank you!”

 Or maybe that slip in his smile was him still being frustrated about his Rush Duels being used. But could Roa really still pick up on that much?

Strum~♪

“Oh, Yuuga-Chan, Yuuga-Chan~...” 

Roa breaks out into song with a smooth vibrato, gently strumming the guitar he had conjured up out of seemingly no where. 

Yuuga was an honest boy. And his expressions were usually very easy to read. To Roa, Yuuga almost had everything worn on his sleeve. But perhaps it was because they were similar- a bit too similar for Roa’s liking, that he could pick up on the irregularity.

“It’s no good to keep feelings to yourself~” Strum~♪ “So don’t be afraid~ To talk it out to me~♪”

Ending his short improvised song, the idol would crack a wide grin.

“No, it’s not that!” Yuuga would be quick to light wave off the accusation, “I guess I just figured that someone like you would’ve been more used to getting gifts instead handing them out like this.”

After all, Yuuga had seen first hand just how popular Roa was on stage. And as generous as he was portraying himself to be, Yuuga still found it hard to believe that the kingly side of him wouldn’t eat up any attention and gift giving he’d ended up getting from fans either.

But before he could keep going on that, Yuuga’s mood was quick to drop the second Roa had brought up ‘last time’ too.

“Yeah, I know. And I’m sorry for that, but I think I’m doing a lot better now. I didn’t mean to worry you with how I was acting or anything.” But their talk actually had helped him some; Yuuga had to owe Roa that much credit.

“Hmm~ Not quite, Yuuga-Chan.” 

A cocky wag of his finger. At first glance, people who weren’t fans or weren’t familiar with RoaRomin would agree with Yuuga. However, Roa did give out freebies during concerts! There was such thing as fan service- but he wouldn’t point that out. Instead, he’d shift his focus to Yuuga’s mood drop.

“It’s good that you’re doing better.”

Roa leant over, pressing his index finger over the shorter’s forehead and giving him a light push.

“But it looks to me that you might need a biiiiit more cheering up. Something’s still bothering you, isn’t it?”

“Is that so?”

Though for some reason, Yuuga didn’t really believe that Roa was treating him with pocky just so he could make amends though. It was a nice offer that Yuuga wouldn’t pass up on, but Roa always made himself hard to read—whether on purpose or not.

There wasn’t anything more behind this sudden pocky offer, was there?

“I didn’t really need the compliment. I just didn’t want to eat the whole box in front of someone else…but I guess I forgot that someone like you probably isn’t too used to sharing either, right?”

Roa had droves of fans that probably showered him in gifts all the time, huh? Maybe that’d explain the attitude.

Flamboyantly, Roa flicks a part of his fringe back into place. He’s exuding his glamorous aura once more.

“Hehehhn? What’s that supposed to mean, Yuuga-Chan?”

His tone, a mixture of threatening but amused. It almost felt like the shorter one was lowkey insulting him. But Roa was willing to let that slide.

“It sounds to me like you’re under the impression that I’m a ‘typical spoilt brat’. But the kingly me, does indeed have basic manners, y’know~.”

Nom, nom, nom!

“Anyways, I more or less came to check up on you. Last time we came across each other, you had the face of a dejected puppy.”

A smirk.

“Who… Are you?”

“Why are you holding my hand?”

“Wait! You aren’t my grandma!”

“I think you have the wrong number.”

“Wanna get a drink?”

“I think you grabbed the wrong bag.”

“Looks like we’re paired together!”

“That’s my seat.”

“Oh! Sorry! I thought you were someone else..”

“Do you have a dollar or two to spare?”

“I heard you singing. It sounded nice.”

“So, since we’re gonna be stuck together, what’s your name?”

“D…Did the elevator just stop?”

How bold of Yuuga to assume he’d ever get swayed by the likes of Romin! A small snigger paired with a shrug of his shoulders. Roa had obviously picked up on the joking tone, but it was only natural for him to mirror it back with a bit of sass. 

“Aww, don’t be like that. I know a box of Pocky isn’t much, but we did cause you guys some trouble the other day.”

Despite his words, Roa didn’t appear as though he felt any guilt from that. He had no regrets in cornering Yuuga’s group the way he did, even if he did come off as conniving. And that showed with that cheeky little grin he had up for show.

“Well, well. Aren’t you just a good boy?” 

Speaking in a tone that sounded as though he was mocking Yuuga, Roa would reach over to pluck out a single chocolate coated stick. He placed it into his mouth and winked.
