So, finally back in LA and for the first time, I think I might actually like it! And to think it only took a year and a half of being in Hendersonville to enlighten me.... So, more Audi Quattros but this time at Ralph's instead of Kroger's; a real life Turbo S which isn't even that special in LA but still nice to see; the furry paw of Tates which is ready to strike; me as a doctor; Tates when she first saw me and recognized me; my poor abandoned Porsche back in TN, buried in snow before I left; and crazy Tates 🐀; and my poor Milano which is running great but looking like it was left at the bottom of the sea for the last year and a half.... New fender for the Porsche and I was dumb enough to teach myself bodywork on it but I have learned a bit: first, I don't hate bodywork. Sure, it's a lot of sanding but there's also metal work, which is fun. 🔨 Who doesn't love tapping on metal with a hammer to guide it back into shape? So I searched through my dad's tools for hammers and I came across this tiny hammer. I received this in a tool set, probably 40 years ago, as one of those Christmas gifts, part toy set and part actual tool set, which has mostly disappeared over the years. Except this hammer still persists. And the reason it remains is that every single time I ever tried to use it, it was useless! Completely unusable! Too tiny to actually hammer any nail and too fragile to use for anything else, I don't know how it's not broken. But somehow it survived, hanging around in the tool rack, waiting patiently for me to design a use for it.... Welcome to 2019 where it's the perfect tool for tapping this fender back into shape. There's a lesson there but I could have told you that because when it comes to Porsches, there's always a lesson.... they are just like that somehow. Sorta-request for 16v pics.... @jasoncammisa And I'm missing this little beast even if it was trying my patience before I left LA in 2017, eventually stalling a block away from storage where it's been sitting since. Now when I get back, it'll be more fuel pumps to throw at it. Ok, do you know I bitch and complain a lot and that's goes double for being stuck in hillbilly land this long, but I guess there are good things although after over a year, this is about the best I could do: 1) Audi Sport Quattro hotwheels! Two of them because the hillbillies don't know the importance and beauty of this iconic car. And 2) 93 octane premium gas for $2.69/ga! You can't even get 93 west of the Mississippi for some reason.
