All these new expectations that came after their victory against Shroud? Had been freaky, a little too new. Now people were expecting him to become a better person, quit drugs and scams. But really he was far too good at it to stop. And that’s just who he was. New year, new me? That was bullshit.
Not to mention it hardly mattered if he did become good, because he was still a hybrid. A freak to many others. So what was there to do? Well right now, he was going low profile. Staying away from his stashes because a certain Blonde Blazer has been acting more like a drug-sniffing hound lately! He lost a decent amount of crack because she decided one day that she wanted to do a random lineup and search! What the fuck was up with that?
And worse he was running low on Twinkies. By some part he’d argue are better than crack cocaine. He had them hidden around too, just because one he liked the hunt, and two? Hiding them from Robert. And it wouldn’t be that big of an issue if the vending machine wasn’t also low on Twinkies. Do you know HOW LONG it takes for them to restock the vending machines? it’s fucking insane.
So like any drug addict, he was having some withdrawals from Twinkies and all kinds of different drugs he had scattered around the building. Now he was just grumbling as he for once, sat at the table in the break room. Waiting for his shift, or someone to talk to him.
Robert found himself pacing through the halls of SDN.
See, Robert is a very tired man. And usually, he succumbs to that exhaustion. However, once in a blue moon, he decides that maybe walking around for an hour with none of his aides and half a bottle of Dasani will perk him up.
Well, maybe this time I won't get debilitating knee pain. Fifth try's the charm.
He was beginning to come to the conclusion that, maybe, just maybe, a sixth try was in order as the familiar bite of pain came back to haunt him. And maybe he needed to sit down. And maybe the breakroom was very, very close. So, there he was. Getting some coffee. Trying to appear as normal and natural as possible. And maybe he was trying to avoid making eye contact with his coworker.
