It's fine if you want to ask me questions or talk to me but I'm more likely to answer asks that are related to the page you're asking on. Misc asks on @robomancing, art or character related asks here. If you want to ask me my thoughts on a piece of media either is fine.

Drawing Request/Commission Terms of Services

Don't be intimidated by 'terms of services', that just means that if you request or buy something from me you agree to the following;

You will not use the received art commercially (e.i. resell your art digitally, as a physical item, on a t-shirt, etc)

You will not enter the received art into any form of generative ai

Should you display the received art on your page or as your profile, please do not claim the art as your own and if you feel like it, credit me wherever convenient. This is more of a request than a requirement.

Unless you're a trusted commissioner, I won't start work until I'm paid in full. Trusted commissioners can pay one third before I start work, one third once I've delivered a sketch and color picked, and one third once it's finished.

Refunds can only occur in the sketch phase or earlier. The only exception to this rule is if I'm for whatever reason unable to finish your commission.

Drawing Requests

I won't discourage requests, but I'm unlikely to get to them any time within the same month they're requested unless I'm on break and don't have any active commissions. I'm more likely to take requests for prompts or topics I'm interested in, so if I'm already drawing for a fandom you may be more lucky.

Commissions

I only accept commissions via my Ko-Fi. My commissions are only open during breaks and special occasions. You'll be expected to at least attempt to adequately describe what you want, and I will only make major changes during the sketch phases. I charge pretty typical rates, but am willing to take off $5 for colorless and unshaded work.

Easter Candy JayVik

This is originally from Blusky but I thought the Tumblr crowd might like it too. Close ups beneath cut.

Jayce is a milk chocolate robin egg bunny with white chocolate fluff and candy coating on his ears and eyes. He's hollow, but filled with robin eggs, which are milk chocolate with a cream center and a sugar casing. Viktor is a sugar coated marshmallow bunny.

I wanted to do something really, REALLY badly for chapter 33 of @biblicallyaccuratewife's To Chain A God because it's really good but my body must have sensed me wanting to do anything remotely taxing because my wrist immediately went "Drawing? Never met her" and proceeded to make a sound like Mary Jane's spine in fucking Amazing Spiderman 2. Because of that this isn't as detailed as I wanted it to be and took me like twice as long but we're rolling with it! ...Mostly because I need to make a turn around this week and that will take up about 80% of my brain until it's over.

Spoilers under the cut.

This originally had a lot more eyes involved but the little details were sacrificed in the name of being finished. Much of this is done with a bleeding pen brush then soften out for line variation. There's about seven layers here even though it doesn't really look like it, most of which the Void Warden. I actually recycled an idea I had a while ago that I was going to use for CYYHOYM that never really made it in. (See below!) The Mechanist and Jayce were drawn with a combo of selection tools and shaving them with an eraser, then going over them with a soft bleed pen. I didn't communicate it very well but the largest eye is supposed to be coming out of the hole in his face and bulging slightly onto the bridge of his nose.

His entire arm is kind of awkwardly assimilated into his side but it's fine because he got three more. The Hexclaw has also been pulled off of his back into a weird shoulder that further malformed into another awkward leg. There's a good just...Chunk of his face missing? I think that the worst fate Viktor could really meet is being stripped of everything that made him himself but a close second is being trapped in something that isn't him all over again but unable to even express it. He's already separated himself into little pieces and hollowed himself out. It's not that far off to literally just remove the chunk of his face that was his mouth completely. It's just nothing.

It also isn't really communicated here but instead of that weird...IDK chest piece??? he's completely stripped of it and has a void grub growing out of where his heart should be. Is it on the nose? Yes. This is not new for me.

Also here's the cut concept for CYYHOYM. My friend said it would "give people nightmares" and was "too gross for the majority of people". What does he know? It's rated M and I was very clear about the body horror tag! Sometimes a sapient flesh conglomerate force their way into a guy's eye to melt his bones and you just have to be cool with that.

Suka is from a small country in the northeast of his home continent of Hyllocis. He grew up as a ward of the state, living in a remote town in a retired barracks building. His country has a problem with having far too many orphans, yet is not willing to divert funds to taking care of them unless they're interested in enlisting in their military, which Suka never was. By the time he was eight years old he was taking care of almost all 28 of his peers in the same home. While their caretaker, Miss Becker, cared about them and tried her best, one woman is not enough to care for 29 children indefinitely and Suka took it upon himself to take some of her workload, usually by attending to everyone else emotionally.

As an adult, Suka has more than a little difficulty conceptualizing the idea that he is not responsible for everyone around him's safety and happiness. Ironically the only person who doesn't matter to him is himself.

Cassidy Monoke grew up on a small, well kept estate in the Ash Plains with her parents, siblings, and dog. Like most female kitsune, she grew up as a bit of a homebody and most of her trips outside of the estate were to visit shrines. She trained in evocation under the shrine maidens of her home and is extremely skilled in magic, especially her use of her foxfire and pyrokinesis. She has great respect for the traditions of her home and family, but also has a lot of interest in what the contemporary has to offer, despite her community discouraging it. Cassidy is also tsundere in nature, and has a somewhat short fuse due to her difficulty understanding the emotions of other people.

Her life took an unfortunate turn when her parents died in an accident just before her birthday, leaving her to take care of her siblings alone. Taking care of her siblings full time doesn't come naturally to Cassidy so she did something heavily discouraged by her culture and got a job, which she found a lot more fulfilling and easier than she thought it would be. The hard part was getting used to being outside of her cultural bubble, but she surprised herself by quickly making friends.

She also quickly gained a reputation as a prodigy in evocation, and her and her team's services are sought after, allowing her to be choosy with jobs but still be paid well.

Alright, as promised to @biblicallyaccuratewife specifically (Also go read To Chain A God if you haven't it's AMAZING) but also everyone else interested, the least spoiler heavy design pages of leviathan Viktor as an adult and after his second evolution (AKA the Herald of the Arcane but they don't really have that terminology here). More details under the cut, if you don't mind some spoilers for both Subnautica, Subnautica Below Zero, and The Final Glorious Leviathan. :]

So you might have noticed first that there's a major color difference between Viktor when he's a young adult and when he's fully evolved. This is actually because I really liked the colors of the Machine Herald (The orange, red-orange, and red combo) so I incorporated them by starting with the Orange Tablet energy source being his natural one. You can probably guess from there that the one Jayce will later incorporate into him will be the Purple Tablet source, and Viktor later acquires the Blue Tablet source on his own, though with a little encouragement. I'm not going to explain that part in detail because it really does spoil things by a lot but I've kept the tablets related to their functions in game.

I really wanted to include Jayce's blanket in the design as well, so it's included as Viktor's gossamer fins that don't really serve a purpose. (It kind of makes sense if you know this was written to be technically post canon to the events of Arcane) The classic "You must be cold" line also really doesn't make sense to say to a giant aquatic mermaid who lives in the planet's North Pole so that scene was replaced but it should be fine.

The lack of a mouth is also kind of spoilery but he does still technically have working jaws under where the "mask" is. If you look closely you may notice a ring around his eyes-That's actually because his face is still kind of under a plate of fragmented ostioderms, sealing his nose and mouth from water. He's too big to really be on land at that point anyway but he could, if he wanted to, break open the encasing. Until he figures that out though there's kind of a "I only have the animalistic, speechless mouth and I must scream" deal.

The proboscis is included for reasons purely related to me writing out of insomnia at like 3am and going "Heh you know what would be fucked?". Regardless it's included under his tongue as a way to do things like drink water or manipulate very small objects (It is more prehensile than his tongue).

You've also probably noticed the malformed arm! That will later become the Hexclaw for reasons I won't get into via the assimilation of the Planetary Quarantine Enforcement Canon, or more generally the same type of platform. (Also not to spoil anything too hard but a certain warping squid creature may get the same treatment) If you're not familiar, said canon is the catalyst to the plot of Subnautica since it brings down the Aurora and the Sunbeam while also introducing you to the Architects. Lots of fun to be had there. Ambessa will be a big fan of this and really should not be.

Last but certainly not least, the equivalent of the mage's Jayce, because yes, there is one. For that, maybe just look up how angler fish work because that's not exactly what's going on but it's close. Just as Jayce cannot live without Viktor, Viktor cannot live without Jayce. Though maybe Viktor shouldn't have made Jayce's reliance on him so literal.

For a last little treat, here are some size references;

When Jayce and Viktor meet, Viktor is at a relatively small 90 meters in length. This is about the size of the juvenile sea emperors.

After the time skip between chapters, which is about the same as Arcane, he's increased in overall size and length to 120 meters. That's ten meters longer than an adult ghost leviathan and if he didn't live in a scaled up Sector Zero, by then he'd probably need to start snacking on other leviathans beside the Squidsharks. For reference this is also about how tall Godzilla was when he fought King Ghidorah.

Things start to get a little...Interesting when Jayce exposes him to the purple energy. From there we climb up to 250 meters. He's officially larger than the adult sea emperor and still getting bigger. For reference the largest real animal is the blue whale, which is 30 meters long. He's a little over eight blue whales in a row.

The gargantuan leviathan, the largest species in 45468B's history, is a measly 500 meters long. This universe's equivalent to mage Viktor is similar in size when he rescues Jayce, but has uh...Increased, let's say, when they see him again? [Cough] 1.75 kilometers [Cough]

I'm not really too familiar with deeper Subnautica lore (I played it but didn't finish it) but I like this design as some kind of ocean monster Herald! I love it when things like this give him a hidden jaw beneath his mask, it's so cool, lol. Also, proboscis! Another excellent thing for him to have.

You mean like a design you are drawing of a leviathan Viktor? Because hell yeah dude I love to see just about any version of the Arcane Herald.

Naturally I'm always thrilled to receive fanart of any sort! Though man, picking a chapter would be hard, lol. Normally the thing I would be most enthusiastic about seeing would be whatever you were most enthusiastic about drawing.

I guess there's also the comparison between adult Viktor and...I guess also adult but older Viktor.

It's mentioned briefly in the chapter this page correlates to but leviathan Viktor has both binocular and panoramic vision. His front facing eyes having better depth perception, spacial awareness, and perception of fine detail and his side facing eyes are near sighted and allow him to see around him in combination with his binocular vision.

As they age (And increase in size) their outward facing eyes get much more use as they move to deeper waters where fine detail and not bumping into things are moved to the "least concern" category. The outward eyes also see a lot better in the dark than the forward facing ones, though their vision in low light isn't bad either.
