this took way too long but i made Hatoful Boyfriend cursors! just download this zip file, extract and move the .cur files to the Cursors folder in Windows (mine is just C:\Windows\Cursors) and change the cursor to the bird you want under the mouse options. i plan on making the rest of the secondary birds (like Azami and Tohri) but i just wanted to get these guys out there. if anybody uses them, i’d appreciate a reblog or like! :V

An anon asked me to show you guys my Karma shrine,,, well, it’s trash and even though some of you guys might not consider it a shrine, it’s a shrine to me. :) I pray every morning to this, tbh./// also, i’ve already added that picture here earlier. ;; lmao

Risks of Imitation: a theory to Lerche's cuts to the Anime

This week, as I prepared myself for the possibility of Takebayashi’s arc being cut out of the Anime (which it is, to my disdain), I pondered on the possible reasons.

Common theories include low budget, spend more time on more exciting moments, or level of “relevance”. But I thought up one more possibility: risk of imitation.

Thing is, realism in Manga/Anime is a double-edged sword. It is great that it can relate to real life and/or the audience more easily, but at the same time, it can also be hazardous if the stunts can be imitated in real life as well. And Japanese media is hypersensitive towards all kinds of stuff.

Also, remember the ISIS-Japanese hostage incident last year with Kenji Goto, and how it caused Episode 3: Karma Time to be delayed by a week? How many of us were worried that the Anime might get cancelled outright?

What I’m trying to say is that it’s possible that Lerche might’ve become stricter about what material to adapt in the Anime. And Takebayashi, along with some of the other character-centric arcs, were cut out of paranoia.

Going with the idea that what Anghel says about his past life could be true, it’s just he interprets it through the lens of the fantasy manga he’s been drawing. His actual previous form is far stranger and something more like Himnesia - but since he can’t accept that that’s him, he only assigns that appearance to his corrupted self.

I mean, he thinks he’s a seraph, and those are very inhuman. And associated with fire. Plus, I just like exceedingly inhuman angels which take on more human guises, and Himnesia’s shape is interesting.

New branch-wings flare into being at the top of either side of a split trunk - this is the right side we’re looking at - and slide down to become wings and further down they split into root-wings and sink into the ground. Eyes are carried along in the ever-moving process, brightest in the “head” and dimming everywhere else.
