I had to promote a movie then I went to do another movie and every single interview was like ‘Are you playing Batman?’ ‘Are you playing Batman?’ and I genuinely thought ‘If I say anything I’m going to lose the job’. I didn’t text a single person back. I felt like nauseous the entire time. So I remember when I first got the call, I just sat in the garden and looked at the sun… And I was like, I was literally like… [mouthing in silence to the air] ‘I’m Batman!’”
