sometimes people will insist a character is butch/masc and then you look at the character and they’re just fat. or muscular. or black. or indigenous. or some combination of the above.

I think that Joyce should’ve ended up with Bob “Ray of Sunshine Newby” instead of Jim “Should’ve died in season 3” Hopper.
every fleetwood mac documentary i've ever watched is like "the band was at the height of their success, enjoying the fame rolling in from their #1 hit 'i know about the other woman, lindsey'. however, nobody could have sensed the tension brewing between members."
"the group initially disbanded immediately after the release of the single 'well get the fuck out if you're going to be like that', leaving thousands of fans shocked."
women around the world heed my call. your comfort above everything. dont put on those shoes that hurt after walking in them for 30 minutes dont wake up 1 hour and a half earlier to put on make up or do your hair dont tolerate a man talking down to you dont follow trends you dont care for dont let yourself feel hungry dont go places or do things to please someone else and most importantly. try that hobby or class or job that you think you will fail at.
first day of pride month
i am massively overdue for a very very good week where not a single bad thing happens and everything is easy
reblog to give prev a very good week where not a single bad thing happens and everything is easy
like genuinely are tumblr ads real
ppl who don’t make an effort to listen to their partner(s) abt their interests bc they “don’t like it” scare me
exactly. it’s not about whether you like it or understand it. it’s about sharing their joy and learning about who they are.
Real and true
I bring a sort of "body neutrality applies to everyone even if they're bad people" to the body shaming conversation that "people who want to body shame but only when they think they have a moral high ground so as to not be seen as a bad person" don't like
feeling so cristina yang core today
omg I need to talk to someone about my situationship so bad
I need to listen to more music I'm in such a music slump
the things trying to quit taking naps w/o caffeine is making me do are so funny
okay well what the fuck.
kinda thinking about making a sideblog
things i wish people would understand about plato’s closet
- please don’t get mad at the employees when they tell you they can’t accept some items: clearly you’re trying to get rid of it for a reason. if you stopped wearing it because you thought it was ugly, or too pilled or stained or worn, what makes you think that someone else will buy it from the store?
- just because it “still has the tags” doesn’t mean they’re going to accept it: yes, the condition of items does affect whether or not they buy it, but so does the style; if you bought a pair of jeans 6 years ago, just because you never wore them, doesn’t mean they’re still in style.
- don’t get mad at the employees over the amount of money they offer you: employees don’t set the prices of the item; the computer system does based on brand and style. store staff don’t purposely give you low offers, so there’s nothing they can do to change that amount.
- things get damaged after they go to the sales floor: just like any other store, sometimes they get messy and inconsiderate customers. clothes can get stained or ripped after they go out. employees would never purposely accept an item that had a coffee stain or seam that was pulled out, so please don’t use “you have stained stuff on your floor” to try and get them to accept more of your items.
- “i’ll take my business elsewhere” means nothing to staff: this applies to most retailers. if you’re going to be rude to them, they would be more than happy if you didn’t come back.
- please don’t complain about a low offer: the way i see it personally, is you can either sell your clothes to plato’s and get 35%~ of what you paid originally, or you can donate your clothes and get nothing in return. of course, you can sell the items privately for a higher price, but you have to wait weeks to get your money.
- please be respectful to the staff: applies to all retailers again; they’re humans too. just because the store didn’t meet your standards, or you had a bad experience, doesn’t mean you should be rude to the people working. talk to them as if they were your friends, not just some “lowly store clerks”. yelling at a retail employee or calling them things can quite literally ruin their day.
(this post is simply personal opinion, and not affiliated with the plato’s closet brand)
