First time posting about Sew Lovely.
Its an action-packed sewing game where you circle enemies to sew them up.
After a while of development I realized it is similar to Pokémon Rangers, both share the same circling style combat...too bad I don't know what genre you define a circle em' up game
Almost forgot to show this off. Added a story text sequence between certain levels to update the player's progress of sewing up the planet. Need to iron out the writing so it is far less cringe
Adopt a Pin today! Variations for the Pin enemy are done. They look so mean in any colour. My friend said I should make a plushie of these.

I tried to retain the push pin silhouette while giving it a menacing hood. The hood matches Pin's assassin-like role and unfriendly presence.

A lot of behind the scenes work so not got much to show off. Enemies attacks are cleaner and can be triggered multiple times for a longer attack window. The spinning animation does work but got messed up in recording
Been a good game dev and documented what I have been up to this October. I added destructible props such as bushes, trees and snowmen. They haven been working really well in scenes While I was on holiday I squeezed in some art and played around with giving AI some gloopy squishy animations This week I have been working on the player drawing mechanic. Making the circling more accurate and applying visual feedback. Making changes to the player mechanic in most games causes it to break so there are a few bugs in the video :)

The sewing spree being bad ass for 40 seconds.
Whenever the player sews up anything, it gets added to their spree and carries over to the next level until it breaks. Opening a challenge for players to get a x100 run
The spree was inspired by Halo and their beautiful medal system having absurd names, I wanted the player to feel more powerful as they built up the spree. Starting with a hat trick then names referencing passive aggressive sewing terms > lethal weather > the sewpocalypse > cosmic god tier sewing

Water attempt 2 - it is less lame Was looking flat in the next video so I broke up the layers and had them scale and flow at different speeds for something more organic. Now I need to make the water go splash splash but I am not smart enough to do that
