Mourning my bugged save of Story of Season Trio of Towns... Ive been playing this amazing game for over 150 hours and have so much emotional investment in it...

What happened? TLDR I play the game with a lovely gay marriage/LGBTQ mod, but i'm pretty sure its bugged or conflicts wirh the second event for "They Grow Up So Fast", meaning I cannot progress past the cutscene for my player character and Ford's child growing from a toddler to a child... Which is double the devastation *ive been excited to finally have them all participate in events, family meals, picnic, etc* but now they are forever stagnat on the morning of Winter 1 after my first legendary crop victory 💔 (it hurts even more bc i was SO CLOSE to getting S rank for all the towns)

Rip my little farm family, oh how i love you...

Even more Alex L Armstrong Head canons!!

This time it’s all Alex X Reader/OC themed!

- Alex treats his partner like his muse… The art of them doesn’t start immediately but after a while he’d ask them if they were ok with him drawing them, eventually it evolves into full on modeling for paintings… when they are apart he has a habit of doodling and etching their image into the margins of documents he’s writing or his already filled schedule.

- He loves when his partner borrows/steals his clothes- despite the fact that his partner would (most likely (depending on size) be drowned in the amount of fabric.

- While out on long missions (any that last over a day) he makes sure to call his partner at a specified time on a line unaffiliated with the military. He’s not trying to be sneaky but trying to keep their lives secured (esp during the events of the main show/manga!).

- During the events of the show/manga he did schedule meetings/rendezvous between him and his partner, he’s the type that can’t stay far from someone he cares for for very long at all 💔

- On that topic he’s loves to plan dates, he's a cheesy fluffy type of guy generally but he cranks it up with dates (writing invitation/greeting cards to new outings, getting bouquets and sweets, etc) he really loves to give his partner amazing experiences!

- His favorite date spots would be museums, planetarium, gardens, and cafes.

- (but he's down to try anything alongside his partner!)

Even more Alex Louise Armstrong headcanons:

- He doesnt enjoy dark coffees, hes more suited to heavy cream/milk concoctions or just "desert drinks" outright...

- He overheats easily... so its just another excuse from him to throw off his shirt!

- He's really intentional about his meals, while the Armstrong household staff obviously cooks- Alex learned how to cook and meal prep for himself in his own time... esp bc he's usually stationed away from home, and that body runs on a lot of food... (he does have a sweet tooth, and he can not turn down new foods/free food...)

- He loves shipping people with Maria... the get together or call about people they know have mutual crushes or would look cute together and giggle about it 😭💔

- He's firm believer in giving people proper birthdays, celebrations, and what not. He keeps his calendar well written as to not forget anyone's special day!

- On that topic, he love weddings, baby showers, graduations, birthday parties, etc... he's deeply empathetic so seeing someone else succeed or experince a core memory is so amazing for him- ironically he has a tendency to be overly nervous at his own life events... I feel like he'd sob his eyes out or something.

Drawings on what you think Alex Louis Armstrong looked like in his youth, based on your recent headcanons on him?

Oh, HIIII, thanks for the Alex question I adore him so this always makes my day!!!

So I have a few ideas based on the "evidence" below:

So... if Alex came out as a tiny dollop of cuteness and grew to be a literal boulder of a man I can mainly assume a few things.

- he hit an insane growth spurt

- BUT he maintained a lot of fat an muscle. (Ive heard its harder for tall people to gain body builder level muscles like short stocky people get- since there is less muscle to fill out (dont qoute me im not a physical education scholar!!)

- SO this leads me to think Alex was a very chubby baby and kid (i mean sure, he came out tiny but he could still pack on weight as a kid)

- but... even as the only guy out of 5 siblings, he's still not the tallest... so im assuming his father had some insanely tall genes he only partially won.

Either way, to sum it all up, for a while, Alex was a very normal chubby boy, I dont actually remember him eating a lot in the 09' anime but i feel like a kid whos about to hit an insane growth spurt would eat a lot his two sisters (the ones between him an Olvier) would also def go through this phase... pray for the cooks on the armstrong house staff...

I dont know if he'd have his dollop of hair, tho! Like I feel like he had lots of hair as a kid and started shaving as a way to differentiate himself *like a sort of posh mohawk?* (Alternatively, it could be just a genetic thing or something he carried from childhood onwards. Even as a diehard fan, I still don't know why he does it- i do have head canons about his hair, tho...)

Tweaking so I wanna post alex louise armstrong head canons

He's crazy about mustache upkeep! He's the type to clean it after meals, curl it in the mornings, etc...

He loves a very specific kind of mint pomade for his mustache (smells nicer than purely oily pomade lol)

Outside of being a fantastic realism artist, he enjoys calligraphy quite a bit! he has custom wax seals and stamps, and his penmanship is to die for! (I feel like his love letters would be unmatched in terms of sincerity and detail...)

He hit an insane growth spurt after always being the shortest of his siblings, so they had to rapidly replace his wardrobe with custom tailors, now hes really cautious with his set wardrobe since it takes so much work to find clothing in his size. (I can see him sharing clothes with his partner frequently tho!)

He's a big fan of cultivating roses. Watching the different varieties grow year after year in the Armstrong family garden makes his springs so nice. (Also, this guy DEF hosts garden parties for the other alchemists!)

Also started watching/reading Pluto and reading Another Monster (Naoki Urasawa over my mind recently)

HES SO DANG CUTE AGHHH 😭 (I should read it tbh I’ll try to get to it sometime, I still wanna finish 20th CB first lol)

AH! Im so happy other ppl have noticed/care about this man like I do lol... I noticed the overall lack of content for him so quickly... its so sad hes so dear to me... anyway here are some doodles for Alex (some are VERY OLD and most are with my self insert Kal...sorry...) but all are very unpolished lmao...)
