I forget sometimes that most people in this site don't know/realise how incredibly trans the Moffat era is. There is a major arc based around a character's name that ends with the emphatic assertion that only name that matters is the one you choose yourself. There's a major character who changes gender and becomes a better, happier, and more realised person afterwards. Gender fluidity is made a major aspect of Time Lord culture. There is a Venn diagram overlap of trans girls and Capaldi-era stans, and it's for a good reason.

The TERFs absoloutly remember, they're having a field day in the notes getting progressives to say "Trans Inclusive Radical Mysogonist" unironically, as if that isn't the TERF word for anyone who supports trans rights.

Guh, Moffat repeatably wrote about women struggling with the difficult parts of their self identity and developing self love, and wrote the Doctor discovering his toxic masculine traits of pride and self centeredness and putting that aside to instead embrase kindness and consideration. Moffat has had a massive trans following as early as 2011, and he knew that because he met us at cons and had a lot of time for us.

That was part of the reason it was so important for TERFs to get everyone to pick apart every idiotic thing he said in interviews.

Guy had been campagining for the BBC to let the Doctor become a woman since the 90s. Guy does have some problematic views but supporting trans women is extremely par the course for him.

I quit my job.

So many of you that have been around a bit may know that I’ve been working at a print shop that I loved dearly for over four years now. It’s grown into something untenable and it has become a constant drain on my mental and physical health, and I can no longer do it. I worked so hard when the rest of the team didn’t. I showed up and I put in my best, and tried to help fix the others’ mistakes as best I could. I was doing the job of at least four other people, and I was told that I was “easily replaceable” and “I didn’t know what I was doing.” The toxicity and the genuine disregard for the effort I was putting in - coming home with a limp every day because I barely sat down, working through my lunches so I didn’t inconvenience anyone else, etc - was too much. I have spoken to everyone in my close circle, my therapist, and my mom (who cannot support me in any way financially, and lives far away) and everyone agrees that the best thing for me was to leave. However. It’s terrifying. I know that this is NOT the right time in this economy to take a leap like this, and I am hoping I do end up finding something more stable in the future, but I need the time to recover and put my name out there again. All that to say:

I will be doing art full time to sustain myself!

Fire Emblem Engage redesigns!

Starting a series where I redesign (hopefully) all playable FE Engage characters!

First up: Alfred, Etie and Boucheron

Some of my thoughts while drawing:

I'm going for a fairytale theme for the Firene characters! With Alfred being a classic storybook prince, Robin hood for Etie and Goldilock's for Boucheron (based on the bears; it's a little loose lol)

Etie probably has my least favorite design in the entire game. I don't think it says anything meaningful about her character. I even thought she was going to be the snobby hime type at first. I also have a personal vendetta against green/orange color scheme.

So I kept her main color green, but changed her hair to red; which I think fits her passionate personality way more. Also gave her some genuine muscle and a fit to show it off 💪🏻 but kept some femininity with frils and bows.

Alfred's design has a silhouette I really like, so I kept pretty close to it! I gave him a softer color pallette to match his friendly vibes. I also made his hair a little wavy just like his mom and sister.

Boucheron always gave me NPC vibes.. he is also cursed with the same dreadful color palette of orange and green! He's a very nice and approachable guy, which I wanted to reflect in a warm color palette. I also made him more top heavy to give him a more interesting silhouette
