tbh I can't tell if the voice actors are consistent or not sometimes granted I kinda took a huge gap between finishing v rangers and watching through supercops but like . tbh I've been considering for a while trying to assemble a cast for like a fan redub of the whole series. like rewriting the dialogue myself and getting discord friends to voice X3 the one problem is uhh the soundtrack I don't exactly have that so this is probably just gonna be a pipe dream but

in my quest to watch every episode of Miniforce and finally binging through . The cop one (I know I know cringe /silly) I have been slowly coming to a horrifying realization:

Super Dino Power is objectively better than Super Cops despite the latter being way more enjoyable to watch

Now I haven't finished the latter yet I'm like halfway through I think while I'm typing this . But like. I legit can't tell what Super Cops is ABOUT . Not like the plot or anything, this is a baby show they lay it out simply, but like . The story. What's it ABOUT about. So far it's just felt like hype moments and aura and like, there's a lotta cool stuff in there but . What's this thing trying to say what am I supposed to take away from it.

like for all the weird potty humor in SDP and it clearly not knowing what to do for the whole first season . At least it's ABOUT SOMETHING. 'Treat objects with respect," y'know don't be careless or messy with them don't take them for granted don't abuse the public trash cans etc. and it also ties into how the true final boss /j is literally the result of human waste and carelessness and pollution . Like. I don't think everything ties together perfectly and again the way that show just Is is . Yeah. But like, it's at least got something to SAY.

Supercops doesn't really . Say anything so far as I've watched. I can't really tell what message I'm supposed to take away from it. It doesn't really say anything about law enforcement ironically enough like it's just using the aesthetic because it's popular with kids and , I mean SDP also had that the dinosaur stuff didn't really relate at all with what it was about but kids like dinosaurs dammit. But like . I can't even say the message of supercops is "stealing is bad" which . Already would've been pretty basic but like, literally in one episode volt took a kid's bike. And it's just a joke it isn't really addressed in a way that suggests it ties to any themes. Like tbh every episode I've been watching I've just been thinking like "what's this about?" And then it just ends up being about nothing and I don't know what to feel about it since like , it's still . Enjoyable like I like how it feels like a sort of return-to-form , but also . Like it's just not really About Anything so I don't know what to say about it 😭 again just hype moments and aura

Listen, I see your points and I do agree with it, like one of the main reasons I watched sc was for a clip in the finale. You’ll know which one when you get to it. Ultimately I can’t say spd is objectively better, because better means different things for different people (and I also hate spd with a burning passion sorry)

Tldr I think your take holds merit, but if I ever say praise about spd I will implode

While in general I agree with a lot of OP's points here, there's a few things to consider:

Plate armor is expensive and needed to be custom fit to the wearer. This means that at no point in history was it the standard for the majority of an army's soldiers. The elite knights would buy and maintain their own plate (well, their squires would do the maintenance), while footmen would get by with substantially less protection.

If a character is sufficiently concerned with their appearance, either through vanity or an attempt at intimidating their opponents, inadvisable accessories and flourishes might be added to the armor. Doubly so if they never actually expect to see combat and it's mostly ceremonial gear.

Plate armor comes in two varieties: battlefield gear and tournament gear. The considerations for both are slightly different. A lot of the more restrictive helmets we see are tournament gear, while battlefield gear compromises absolute safety for better mobility.

I was like watching some new made up miniforce show in the dream and it kept throwing batshzt plot twists at me but the only one I remember the actual details of is it suddenly revealing at the end of an episode that Actually the main villain was the fudging peacock Buddhist priest from the first show .
