My Caliente Household Lore
Originally, Katrina had moved her boyfriend into her household, to live amongst her and her daughters. She did this under the impression that Don loved her and wanted to be a family. A couple of years in, the strong relationship that she had once had with her daughters started to deteriorate and/or weaken. At first, she assumed that this was a result of them growing up and wanting to depend less on their mom. Her assumption was proven wrong when she caught Dina crying loudly in her bedroom. She sat down on the bed beside Dina and immediately started to comfort her. As soon as Dina had calmed to a point of where she could speak in full sentences, she claimed that Don had talked her into sleeping with him when she was drunk and that he had a habit of trying to hook up with both Nina and her when Katrina was not around. She admitted to having caught Nina and Don in the act a few times. Katrina, having heard enough, headed to the room that she and Don shared and proceeded to throw all of his belongings out of their window. She also changed the locks on the house and blocked his number. Nina, arriving home to a locked house, called her mother to ask to be let in. Upon being welcomed in, she was bombarded with questions on why she would betray her own mother?, when did it start?, and how many times? She was forced admit to her crimes against her mom. Katrina, after hearing the truth, could only look at her daughter with pure disappointment and hurt, while her daughter looked unaffected by the things she had done. It take 2 years for Katrina to heal from the deep wound caused by Nina and Don’s betrayal. She dyes her hair to match her original color, she goes on a dating website, and she focuses her personal time on trying to rebuild her relationship with her daughters, although Nina seems unwilling to try. Katrina matches with Mitchell Kalani. Their first date was utterly nerdy {GeekCon} but Mitchell’s goofy and fun loving nature made up for the nerdyness. Eventually, Mitchell proposes to Katrina on their 1 year anniversary. The wedding was something out of her childhood fantasies {Dina is the maid of honor}. The wedding night is all it takes for her to get pregnant. Baby Jacoby Kalani is born and everyone is excited, ....except Nina. Katrina and her family start to grow closer and she’s happy about it but........she just wishes that Nina would stop separating herself from the family and want to be apart of it. Having forgiven Nina for her action, she continues to only want the best for her and want to reconnect with her, regardless of Nina’s sour mood. Nina on the other hand continues her relationship with Don by visiting him every night.
