How long had he been stuck in Hive City, now? Time just dragged on, especially when the only thing Leon did on a day-to-day basis was wander around his own sector. Talk to some of the other citizens, perhaps shop a little. He couldn’t complain too much, though; it was a lot less chaotic that way. To be stuck in the mundane was to be safe.
But holy shit it was so boring.
He’d decided to leave his own sector for once - so what if he got lost? It’d be one hell of a lot more exciting than staring at the same old storefronts day in and day out, and he was confident he knew his way around by now. Finally.
Leon found himself in Sector oo4, probably one of his favorite places. It was probably the closest thing to “normal” Hive City had to offer. He hadn’t cared much for any kind of tradition back home, but in such a strange place it was comforting to see a familiar culture, even if he had to hunt it down.
However, something caught his eye. Somehow a small boy in the crowd had grabbed his attention - or rather, the boy’s hat had. It looked so goofy, and Leon wouldn’t be caught dead wearing that thing, but…it was really cool. What the hell. Leon approached the boy, dragging his bat behind him.
"That’s a pretty cool hat. Where’d ya get it?"
Quark didn't know much about other cultures to be honest. He only knew what his grandpa could tell him and what he'd learned from movies and things that were found while they were at work. Sometimes though, he wondered. He'd met new people here in this city and a lot of people were very different from him. Some weren't even human!
He'd taken to taking walks around (very rarely going to sector three, Mr. Sigma had told him how dangerous it was there and he didn't want to risk anything). He did like sector four though. It was a place that was new and exciting. A place he could learn and a place he could just relax. This sector, to him, was the one that, despite his confusing and frankly odd upbringing it felt like a home. At least, it felt like a home for someone.
He'd been looking in the windows of a shop when he heard someone begin talking to him. He was sure they were talking to him anyway, once he saw his reflection approach him in the window.
"Oh ah, I got it from my Grandpa, actually! I've had it as long as I can remember really."
