My names Rori! This is just gonna be a collection of whatever. Probably nothin bout me or my life.

Guilty Gear, One Piece, Pokemon, Mass Effect, Gravity Falls, Harry Potter (as much as I detest both Rowling and all her work post book 7), Xenoblade Chronicle’s, and Hyper Light Drifter are the fandoms I tend to be passionate about in no particular order, expect the majority to be reblogging and contributing thoughts/rants on those. Probably gonna reblog a bunch of art too.

I’ve had at least one friend get on me to make a tumble for years, surprised it’s taken me this long.

Speaking as a lesbian, I always thought it was a bit mystifying how all the gods constantly talked about how attractive Aphrodite was when clearly Dionysus was just objectively the hottest.

Would I fuck/marry him? Nah, not into guys. But sometimes you just need to acknowledge an absolute 10/10 for what it is.

The fact that leagues of smart and rational trans adults who are informed about the evidence base for puberty blockers wish they could’ve taken them in their youth seems to me pretty darn conclusive evidence that the balance of risk and benefit is favourable.

Sorry, I disagree. Are those adults also thinking of all their 14 year-old “seemed like a good idea at the time” regretted decisions? God knows I have them … and from age 24 and 34, too.

That’s the problem here. These are irrevocable life changes. We have graduated-age-driver’s licensing, age limits on tattoos, and joining the military. All big life changes, and in the case of driving and military service, a heightened risk of irrevocable harm.

Is it really so wrong for the caring, supportive parent that I’d hope you are, to say:

“Wait, my love. Just wait ‘til you’re a legal adult. Every passing year means thousands of decisions, and this may be one of them you could regret.” These four or two or five years may seem like an eternity to you, but it’s not.”

Is that really so dreadful?

This all relies on the cisnormative (if not transphobic) assumption that not allowing gender-affirming care is somehow neutral and poses no risk of harm or regret. The fact of the matter is, people regret not having had access to blockers a helluva lot more than they do having had access to them.

One would also wonder if they think we should deny minors access to birth control and abortion since they might regret the decision later on.

also the fact that puberty blockers are fucking time sensitive??? it's nothing like a tattoo. you can get a tattoo at any age. puberty blockers, hold the front page, are to halt the progression of PUBERTY!!! WHO'D HAVE KNOWN???

So none of this condescending "These four or two or five years may seem like an eternity to you, but it’s not" bullshit. Those years are the years that puberty is taking place. If you wait until you're 18, the window for them to be fucking effective has ALREADY GONE?? horses and barn doors folks.

Greetings Hazbin Hotel fanart community, I come today with the news that y’all have fucked up majorly. This was actually pointed out by my coworker, but she hasn’t logged into tumblr in years and did not want to just to enlighten the masses, so it falls to me.

Here’s the deal. There’s a lot of absolutely wonderful fanart of the repented Sir Pentious I’ve run into, and many feature the egg boys being redeemed in heaven too which is wonderful.

Most of this fanart has the eggs hatched!

ALL of the hatched eggs are depicted as chickens. Which is wonderful, they’re super cute.

Slight problem. Snakes also lay eggs. Sir Pentious is a snake.

Any other transwomen have that one cis friend who you swear is a trans woman born into a cis woman’s body? I know that doesn’t make sense cause like, transwomen are just women in a man’s body, but they give off a vibe that the body and parts they were born with (not even accounting for social identity) is something they’ve actively thought through and are deeply happy with because they know it’s right for them. Am I crazy here? I feel like 99% of cis people are just “sure whatever, if I had to choose I definitely like it” toward their birth gender, as opposed to their birth gender being something that’s validating.

I haven't played Scarlet/Violet myself but I love Nemona so much. She just wants a competent battle partner for once. She has a DVD screensaver in place of a brain. She's a socially awkward dummy (affectionate) who doesn't know how to properly bond with people. She sees someone cool who she wants to befriend and immediately just imprints on them. She picks the weaker starter because she wants to go easy on you (not just because she doesn't understand type advantages or something). She builds her teams around the person she's battling. She's very obviously neurodivergent. She's so relatable to me. She's one of the only characters I've been genuinely attached to since gen 5. I care her so much

My favorite thing about Pokémon Scarlet so far is Nemona being fully prepared to unleash her fully leveled champion team against a kid who got their starter like 5 minutes ago.

Basically the closest thing in universe to us steam rolling bug catchers after becoming champion and I love it.

I just beat Violet this weekend and these 3 went from all kinda annoying as separate characters, to one of my favorite videogame trio’s together. The way they all play off of each other is excellent. Hard requirement for any DLC to have these 3 with you for the story. I already miss them a lot.

Hi, I’m relatively new to tumblr and as politely as I can, is it possible to mute a specific tag so that posts about it never ever show up in my “for you” section again? Google is failing me. I’m on tumblr mobile so maybe there’s something on desktop I’m missing.

The problem. Tumblr is convinced that I’m utterly obsessed with this show called “The Owl House”. I’d frankly never even heard of it prior to tumblr thinking it was my favorite thing in the world, no offense to the fandom, I just don’t watch TV these days. My best guess as to what sent my algorithm that direction is it’s overlap with the Gravity Falls fandom, it’s possible some people I followed are fans of TOH, but none of the posts are from people I follow and none seem to have tags I follow either. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure it’s great and the fan base seems nice enough (hence why I’m tagging them in this ask!) but it doesn’t seem to be for me.

Anyway, the point. Posts about the show started showing up over a month ago, but over the past 2 weeks it’s starting to get to the point it’s making me not log onto tumblr. I actually counted today, and out of the first 30 posts on “for you”, 12 were about this show! That’s a full 40 percent! When it first started showing up I ignored it but once it was a noticeable chunk of my feed I started clicking the “this content isn’t for me” box on every post, every day, and it’s only continued to grow. I know the usual advice on tumblr is “just accept you’re part of the fandom now and go watch it” but I really don’t have time for a new obsession right now.

This post is honestly equally as much rant as tech support, tumblr’s gotten the point when I said I wasn’t interested in some things related to tags I actually follow (apparently liking Harry Potter meant I need tons of fanfiction excerpts about Sirius and Remus secretly being gay lovers in canon, which like, good for them but I don’t care lmao) so I’m really not sure why it’s being so stubborn on something I don’t follow. I’m already 10 years late getting here and I’d hate to be driven away from my feed drowning in something I don’t care about.

Since I know someone inevitably is gonna force it on me, you have my consent to try to sell me on the show in the comments despite what I said above. But like, even if I was an enormous fan this’d still be a bit much. Even if it’s not possible to fully mute it, any info on how to reach the algorithm to chill a bit would be appreciated. Please help :(

-edit- This was solved almost immediately by someone in the comments, Leaving this up partially cause I like how I wrote it, partially in case someone has the same issue so they can find the post, and partially cause I tagged the fandom for help and owe the pittance of y’all trying to sell me on it anyway.

ppl saying “oh try guys threw him out, there must be more than just cheating” are so fucking annoying. we all know that there is. but even if there wasn’t, why is a man cheating on his wife not good enough reason to throw him out of the club. people are so senseless and braindead and this is why society is crumbling.

I keep seeing something along these lines thrown around and wanted to throw this out as kinda a PSA.

First off, yes, cheating is terrible, it’s very easy to not do, etc.

There was more to the incident than Ned cheating. Infact, Ned was not let go from the group because he cheated on his wife.

*Its because he had a relationship (cheating or otherwise) with a SUBORDINATE.

That’s it. That’s the entire issue. I’m not saying they wouldn’t have let him go if it was just fans found out he was cheating with someone, but that becomes a moral choice whereas this was a fairly cut and dry legal issue. Look at their video on the topic. Not once do they bring up he cheated on his wife.

A couple I’m friends with ordered a “sexy Mario Bros Halloween costume couples set” and I just gotta share this. Hers was Mario, it was short short jeans, suspenders and a red crop top. Ok nothing unusual so far. His was Luigi and it was….just a normal Luigi costume as far as we could tell. Group chat was ragging on it for a bit until someone said something that really stuck with me.

“Sexy Luigi is just normal Luigi”.

Honestly I feel like this is a vibe I needed to apply to my own life. Sexy me is just normal me and sexy you is just normal you. Sometimes we need a reminder to love ourselves.
