in honor of pride month... let me share some headcanons 👀

"you trust me enough to tell me that..." - nanase, probably

so yeah, to me rin gives nb vibes who kept he/him pronouns (or the masculine pronoun "ore" in japanese, but he does speak english after all.)

probably he got mistaken for a girl as a kid due to his long eyelashes...

he just doesn't care much about his gender.

as for attirance, I see him as asexual and romantically attracted by men (anyone has a better term?) yeah I cannot see any of the itoshis with a woman (except their dad of course...)

as for nanase! my boy! he's just a guy. I don't think he'd really get everything about what lgbt is, what being lgbt means... he supports rin either way. and everyone else overall.

I see him as bi, though he prefers women. entering the blue lock program made him realize that he could love both... I don't think he'd search about more labels to assign to himself. living the simple life, are we?

nanase most likely came out to his family. no way they're not supportive, right? they most likely don't mind and say things such as "as long as you're happy".

for rin... I don't think he did. it's more like "everyone knows but no one says a thing". he can’t bother doing that and probably think that "it's not necessary"... his parents probably accepted the fact that none of their children would bring a woman home. knowing how stubborn these kids are...

I'm more of a rin guy but sae is such an interesting character. I'm glad you can find comfort through someone like him, even if he isn't the warmest guy around. when I first drew him I found it hard to capture his almost expressionless face..... but at some point you get used to it.

I have some more sae (& others) that I didn't post, so I'll leave them under the cut.

this was when the namjatown collab dropped this year. I thought it was funny how they basically had the same accessories but mirrored.

...and this is... well, I don't know. I recently read this manga called aoku somero and this pair of brothers were a bit similar to the itoshis. the big brother was scouted in a youth team in spain, came back to japan... but at least they are on excellent terms!

the nanarin worms are strong and they told me to give them a child.

her name is mai. she's trying her best! (honestly, she's really good. but she still thinks this isn't enough.)

she puts her hair in a low ponytail when playing and does her tie in a strange way, I must admit.

when I started blue lock, well I didn't watch the anime but read the manga instead. I only knew some characters (isagi, chigiri, reo and kaiser). but most importantly... I didn't know their colors!

so I took him and tried to get "his property" to match.... he's putting a bandaid on rin in case it wasn't clear 🤔
