This took WAYY longer than it should have, but personal things came up where I couldn’t draw for a few weeks. This is a present for a dear friend of mine as his favorite character from RDR2 is Charles Smith. I hope he hangs it proudly in his home.
I present something that took WAYY too long to finish: my Jack Abbot character study. My god, it should not have taken me 2 months to finish this, but here we are. The purpose? To learn how to draw his face and draw him in fanart.
The small voice in your head that says: "I don't need to write down every small detail of this plot idea, I love it so much, I'll remember this."
That's the devil speaking.
i have loved you since we were eighteen /rabbot fanvid x 18
Love this
yeah they’re married and happy or whatever. but you know what the fucking problem is? that’s not even THEM. what the fuck.
Ya know, this specific criticism I see made me wonder
Are people the experiences they have? Or are they who they are always meant to be?
Are Crowley and Aziraphale the millions of years of life they've spent, or are they THEM just because they just are?
What makes these characters special to us?
What makes Asa and Anthony any less Aziraphale and Crowley? Because they haven't lived as long? Because they've never met each other as earlier on? Because they have no divinity or damnation?
Then that makes me think of fanfiction and the AUs people make
Are THOSE not the characters we love? Are they lesser than canon because they are an alternate universe? Are they equal to canon because they keep them as Angel and Demon? Would that mean AUs of them as humans are also NOT the characters?
It's a lot to think about. I think it's an interesting discussion
That fic you wrote?
The one about the ship no one else cares about, or the deeply unpopular character, or the extremely unusual AU?
The fic that got no comments or kudos when you posted it?
Months or years from now, that fic might be exactly what someone is looking for in the sea of fics about all the popular characters, ships, and AUs.
Your fic might be the only fic out there that has what someone is looking for. The only fic that scratches the itch that it turns out you and that reader share.
And that's awesome.
After the first time they fell into bed together, Robby feels incredibly insecure and emotional. Sex with Jack was wonderful, in ways he hadn't experienced in a long time. Jack had been sure and gentle and caring and Robby had not been able to form a coherent thought whatsoever. But now it was over. They were both sweaty and a little sticky and Robby didn't know what to do.
Should he stay? God he wants to stay. Stay close to Jack, soaking in the heat, feeling safe and protected in his arms.
Should he leave? They were done and the way they fell into it, didn't really imply any further attachment. A shudder ran through him. This was a one time thing. Probably. It should be enough. It had to be enough. Something to remember and dream about. Nothing more, nothing less.
Slowly Robby got up and looked around for his clothes. He felt naked in a cold way. Ashamed for wanting more. Flustered because he didn't know how to navigate.
"What're you doing?" Jack asked, propping himself up against the headboard.
"I..." Robby started. What was he supposed to say?
I'm leaving?
I need to go?
I'll get out of your hair?
He rubbed his hands over his beard and neck. A habit, that had been built over the years of too much meaningless sex and not enough genuine touch.
"Mikey?" Jacks soft voice interrupted his thoughts. "Come here, okay?" He held his hands out in invitation.
A small, needy sound escaped Robbys throat, as he let himself fall against Jacks chest. The warmth soothing something deep inside his own. His muscles were still tight and he didn't allow himself to relax. Still worried, still not sure if how much of this was okay.
Jack started to rub circles against his naked back with one hand, the other found a place in his hair. Just holding on.
"What do you want?" Jack asked. Always direct in his approach.
"I want..." his voice cracked.
"Just tell me, love"
Love. Jack called him love. Like they were more than brothers in arms. More than friends, who blew off some steam. It was stupid, but it was enough for Robby to be brave.
"I want to stay." he said quietly, almost a whisper. "I want you to hold me." He continued. "I want to come back to you every day and I want you to come back to me."
The hand on his back stopped and went up to tilt his face towards Jack. His lips were captured by the softest kiss, that brought tears in his eyes.
"You can have that Mikey. All of it and so much more." Jack sounded so sure and confident and Robby couldn't do anything else but believe him.

I started writing a thing to cope with the state of politics.
Obsessed with the idea that general consensus of people who know Robby is "Yeah, like you can tell he's good looking, I guess, but he always dresses like a fucking scrub." 👎 And then one night at some PTMC charity gala they're all forced to attend, Robby comes in ✨absolutely ready✨ to charm the pants off of donors because there's all this new equipment he wants and he's gunning for a raise for the nurses so he pulls out all the stops.
Beautiful tailored suit, hair actually done, smelling like a DREAM.
And everyone in the Pitt, others throughout the building, and even fucking Gloria are like
👁️🫦👁️
Because holy FUCK Robby isn't just good looking, he's GORGEOUS.
And that man walks around smiling and securing donations and has ZERO IDEA. He's being flirted with and propositioned for all sorts of things but he's so locked in on getting what the ED needs that he's completely clueless. It just makes him HOTTER.
And Abbot is turning RED because all these people keep touching Robby and WHY CAN'T THAT BE HIM? And mmmaaaybe some guy touches Robby way too intimately and Robby does actually notice and get upset at that and Abbot is just 🏃💨 HELP IS ON THE WAY, DEAR! because jealous, possessive, over protective Jack is fucking DELICIOUS.
I’ve started a character study of my man Dr. Jack Abbot. I’m gonna fill an entire page of just his face, then a page of Robby’s face, then you don’t have to be a NASA engineer to know the third step.
I saw a post saying that Robby’s speech about supporting women who need (emergency) healthcare (in 2x14) fell flat with them because the women on staff didn’t get enough screen time, as if the whole point of the episode wasn’t about Robby finally openly admitting he’s suicidal rather than seeing his behavior from an outsider’s perspective and as if that whole scene wasn’t showing that middle-aged white men in leadership positions should be advocating for all of the women in their lives whenever they get the chance.
I present the first installment of a new series of mine called “Kiss Me” where I draw a whole bunch of ships I like, canon and non-canon, kissing. I decided to start it off with a fandom that has taken over the internet: Hollanov from Heated Rivalry. And you’d be surprised how easy that jaw angle was when you have a reference photo.
Another commission on the books!! A friend of mine asked me to draw his PF2 Starfinder character and I decided to challenge myself by doing it in color. I can tell that once I get more comfortable with color, the sky will be the limit.
