this might sound insane but I love how almost tactile the phm soundtrack is. there's so many "hard" sounds, like claps, clicks, hits, etc, which on its own already stands out as unique but, even more than that, when combined with the choir singing it literally sounds like a perfect blend of erid and earth. are we joking

One thing that's so underrated about PHM is Eva Stratt's appearance. She doesn't have the lipstick, sleek bun, pencil skirt (or even pantsuit), and heels look that is so often the uniform of female characters in similar roles. She doesn't wear makeup (as much as any other actor). She wears her hair down or in the simplest ten-second buns. She wears softs, easy to move in clothes that are weather appropriate. Why would she spend extra time making her physical body less efficient?

The way Potterheads keep repeating "but what about death of the author???" almost feels malicious at this point. You should damn well know that having Good Intentions In Your Heart does nothing to stop the material impact of your actions (like keeping the IP relevant, creating avenues for people who weren't fans before to come into the fandom, etc).

Death of the Author is not a reason to keep participating in this fandom. It's just a shitty excuse.
