Master thesis adventures #05:
Finished writing notes for The Discovery Of Humanity by David Abulafia
Wrote down some thoughts and ideas inspired by said book
Emailed my advisor to give her a general update
Reread old notes of another class that I thought might be helpful and wrote down some stuff on my thesis commonplace book
Continued reading Amerigo Vespucci's letters
Wrote down notes for every letter I have read so far in my commonplace book
Looked for a book I heard about that might be useful for my thesis
When I tell you today was so productive for these early stages of my research I am not joking. I can feel my brain working and connecting stuff, and I have not felt this academically alive in a long time. I am so motivated and I love it. I am finally back into my academic weapon form. I do need to make a big study plan for the next few months since I will have to simultaneously work on my last exam, buy my short term goals regarding my thesis are finishing reading this edition of Vespucci's letters and read the other edition I got since I should find a couple of new things there.
going through some rough times but still wanted to post my silly pics about my readings. butler's book kind of completed my "reading what's on my shelf" challenge so i got to buy new ones!! my bf gifted me some annie books (including a french edition of simple passion!! which i can't read yet but someday) and I bought two more for research and studies. reading judith butler's book was definitely challenging but I enjoyed a lot. carried everywhere for a long time because it was a slow, focused read. annie's the happening was amazingly visceral and now printed inside my head forever.

Knowledge is the most solid foundation for every journey.
The mental and physical capacity to graduate and get this degree.
Old books, yellowed pages, and the scent of untold stories

Fingers in Ainu
Here are the fingers in the Ainu language!
Fun fact! The word for "thumb" means "big finger" and "pinkie" is "little finger!"
