Another reason I’m chaotic/eclectic
I do, in fact, wish ill upon those who do harm.
Mostly when it comes to online interactions. This is where people are at their absolute worst (usually), so I come across a lot of aggressively harmful and cruel behavior.
While I work primarily with light, I believe I fall into a middle vibrational area in my practice because I set mini hexes on people pretty frequently. Or, rather, as frequently as I’m targeted by intentional harm. (Proportional to intention and harm done. I’m not hexing others willy nilly, because that’s a problem. I went through that phase, and it’s not a good situation for anyone.)
Just mild ill-wishes and petitions to the universe to enact swift and balanced justice. (Swift please. Instant is best.)
I just think that vengeance has been perceived as evil, or most times is seen as harmful only to oneself. But I find that, as long as you’re not married to the outcome and obsessing over getting justice, and hexing over every little thing, it’s fine to be a bit vengeful and ask for a little magical help.
Wrath is, after all, a part of nature. You prod an animal, you’ll get bitten. You step into an anthill, you’ll get bitten. You tread on a snake… You get bitten.
So, as a witch, I bite. I don’t like absorbing energy that doesn’t serve me, so I send it straight back, using the assailant’s own energy to fuel their consequences. I speak calmly, but pointedly. If I just let someone attempt to hurt me without retort, it just gets stuck to me as a trauma, programmed directly into my nervous system and written straight into my spirit. I also have a habit of ruminating on conflicts that have no closure. Since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it has to be transmuted or sent.
I wish I could say there was a moral reason behind this, like “I want them to never harm another”, which is most definitely true to a degree, but at the end of the day, I just think everyone deserves consequences and I don’t believe the universe always enacts necessary justice.
Existence isn’t moral and ethical, after all. It’s neither good nor bad. It’s not beholden to our rules and perceptions of what’s right. It’s not on anyone’s side and it’s not doing any special favors just because you “do no wrong”.
The people who control the world and do serious damage deserve some hell. A good amount of hell actually. I truly hope their souls writhe and wither beneath the weight of the negative balance they’ve achieved for a good long while. But have they been given hell? Not that I can tell. They seem to continue to succeed and be given concessions for aligning with the deepest darkness.
(I’m even considering working on a big one that can get through ill-gotten prayers from loyalists. At least, I’m ruminating on it. You know who I mean. The protections are immense, but there’s a crack somewhere.
Might have to directly petition the guardians themselves to step aside… If they’re not just a bunch of dark manifestations. There has to be a STORM around that fucker, lmao)
I guess I’m putting this here because I am not a witch that one should cross, even in a mild manner, because I do not accept. I do not roll transgressions off my back like water off a duck’s feathers to get stuck in my energy field. I catch it. I contemplate it. And I throw it right back. It is yours, not mine to keep.
Tricksters and trolls are subject to ire
So think, dear one, before you light that fire
Pause before you sharpen your knife
Hold your tongue, move on with your life
Even if you know not who I am, you’ll feel
That I am a danger, not brought to heel
That heat at the back of your neck will fade
Breathe, for you’ve met a blockade
As it is written, so it is.
*When it comes to spirits, my approach is much different. Returning like with like doesn’t work on beings who feed off of energy.
Aka: I think you shouldn’t get mad at your local spirits, even if they’re being seemingly disruptive/destructive. Peace, love, and respect go a long way there.
