The attack on the Northern Water Tribe goes differently, Aang and the ocean spirit don’t destroy the entire Fire Nation fleet, only most of them.

Zhao escapes, taking Sokka and a few other Water Tribe men as prisoners. Knowing Sokka is traveling with the Avatar he gets sent to Zhao’s “special prison camp” that is hidden near the Earth Kingdom colonies.

Sokka gets a taste of the real war, not the war that he thinks he knows from traveling with the Avatar. While Zhao’s prisoner, he struggles to survive the inhuman conditions. Alone and thought to be dead, he feels himself slowly losing hope.

Seeing a familiar face brings back his hope, even if that face is the scarred Prince of the Fire Nation.

Sokka and Zuko come together to survive and end up depending on each other for a lot more than they ever thought possible.

One of the most underrated kataang momemts was in the blind bandit when sokka booed at aang and toph "boooh no talking" amd katara slapped him and said "dont boo at him" haha.

Or how she always watched him training earth and firebending (sometimes being the only one)

Katara is literally his number one defender, bodyguard, lawyer, cheerleader, partner in crime, EVERYTHING. She’s the definition of ride or die. That's who Katara is and that's what Aang needs the most when he gets out of the ice, when everything he's ever known is gone and the weight of the world is on his shoulders.

In the finale Aang literally throws Zuko off the third floor and Katara runs over like - "Zuko, you could’ve hurt Aang"! Like, girl, no, he couldn't...he tried for 2 and half seasons lol.

I can't wait for the adult movie to see their dynamic because I'm sure it will be the same. Like, yes, this is the all powerful Avatar, master of all 4 elements ready to kick your ass and take away your bending. But! You won't even get a chance to get close to him because here is his wife who will destroy you physically and mentally if you even THINK of laying a finger on him! lol
