“So this is the girl he mentioned”. Everyone’s heads including yours turned to the direction of the voice, there you set your eyes on yet another boy, instead of standing like the rest, he was lying on the couch with his arm draped in front of his eyes as if he couldn’t be bothered to even look at anyone or anything. Surprisingly though out of all the boys you’ve met tonight, this one, the one who has said the least and has only been around your presence for a few seconds, has seemed to captivate you, almost as if there was an invisible force pulling you both towards each other.
“Shu, do you know something about this girl?”, ‘So…that’s his name, Shu?’ A small grin forms on your face ‘who would ever name their kid Shu, I wonder how it’s spelt, either weirdly like fancy people usually do or literally shoe’ a giggle escapes you ‘hehe shoe’. Aside from laughing at his funny name, you slowly start to zone out and really try to take in his appearance. This Shu guy had blonde hair with the ends being lighter than the rest, ocean blue eyes, dark purple or black jacket, tan cardigan, white colored shirt, black skinny pants, and brown shoes. Looking even closer you notice he’s wearing earphones, ‘so he must like music huh…I wonder..what type?’ By taking in his appearance you thought maybe classical, or maybe he’s secretly rebelling and likes rock and roll.
“Maybe” “Don’t maybe me I would like an explanation”, ‘huh, those two seem to really not like each other and there not even hiding it’ you glance over to Reiji ‘and Reiji seems the most hateful, even in his tone it seems he can’t hide his displeasure of Shu, I wonder why?’. “That guy contacted me the other day, he said we have a guest arriving from the church and to treat her with respect”. As soon as you heard the words church you perked up, “see I was telling you all the truth, the church did send me, why else would I lie about such a thing huh, do you all deem me without morals? So much that I would break into someone’s mansion and lie?” No one paid attention to your statement, all busy pondering about the news Shu told them.
Ayato was the first to speak up. “Are you telling me Pancake here is the prospective bride?”. As soon as you heard this you jumped up from your seat “prospective bride? What the hell are you talking about? the church said nothing of this, they said I would just be living with you all, not marrying one of you”, your breathing begins to pick up “oh wait it is one of you right? this better not be some sick place where I marry multiple people at once because I refuse, until my dying last breath I won’t marry one or multiple of you”. Your eyes dart around the room, looking at each of them as if one of them would surely provide an explanation, tell you how you heard wrong, how everything will be fine, but… that doesn’t happen.
“And he also mentioned not to kill her” ‘kill…me…what kind of sick place did the church send me too? they didn’t say it would be like this, why didn’t they say it would be like this? why would they lie to me?’ A tear rolls down your check ‘do they want me dead? did I do something…wrong in their eyes, something so bad that I-‘. “That means we’re gonna have a very long relationship with her”, “like hell you will, I don’t know what’s going on here, I don’t know what I did to deserve such a hellish day today, and I don’t know what made me stuck here with all of you but I do know two things” You reach your hand inside your pocket “I will not be a prospective bride to any of you, and I will never be hurt or killed here”. You feel around for your cross, as you feel it you begin to grip onto it, with the power of the lord by your side you'll be able to face anything.
“Are you done with such tantrums?” Reiji looks at you while saying this but you do nothing but stare back, “Good, well it seems as if there is no misunderstanding after all, let me introduce everyone properly” ‘tch I don’t even care who you all are, I will be getting out of here soon’, “That is Shu the eldest son, I am Reiji the second eldest, there is Ayato the third eldest, then there Kanato the fourth eldest, Laito the fifth eldest, and Subaru the sixth eldest”. Your face remains as before except your eyebrows begin to crease, ‘why does he refer to every one as eldest? Why not just say youngest?’. “This has to be a mistake, it is a misunderstanding, no one told me anything about brides and no offense but…you guys are weird”.
Right in that moment as you said these words the atmosphere changed. The room became chilling as all the brothers turned their gazes darker and all on you. “Um I need to call the church, I need to tell them-“ Suddenly Ayato holds up your phone. ‘How the…how did he get my phone? Did this perv go through my bag? But that’s impossible I was watching him the entire time, he never left my view….’. “Give it back” you shout as you run towards him, he had no right to have your phone and especially no right to prevent you from using it. Ayato keeps waving his arms around, making sure there especially higher than you can reach, but just when you almost have it another hand grabs it and crushes it. You stand there in shock looking at who did this ‘what the hell is this Subarus guy problem! First he punched walls and now he breaks my phone’ . “Hey what gives, are you crazy?!” “whatever”.
‘Just like that he walks away, does he not feel anything? No remorse? No shame?’ “There there little bitch, your about to become really good friend with us”, Latio says that as he comes closer to your ear, you feel the grin in his face, the grin that shows just how horrible he will be. “That’s why you don’t need your silly old telephone, isn’t that right?” Kanato appears on your opposite side, so suddenly, almost as if he vanished for one spot and appeared at your the next. “I’ve actually been feeling kinda peckish” ‘peckish what does that have to do with-‘ “tell me about it, you smell so good little bitch”, the hairs in your neck and arms stand up, you let out a yelp and run forward, away from the arms of Kanato and Latio, towards the gazes of everyone.
Just before you make it far you step on one of your untied laces and trip. “Ow”, your knee is scared red with blood, it seems you’ve taken a hefty fall, damn you and your clumsiness. Looking from up your knee you meet the eyes of the brothers and freeze, like a deer caught in headlights. All the brothers are staring at you, but that’s not what scares you, that’s not what sends shivers down your spine, you notice all the brothers have fangs and are looking directly at your wound, ‘V-vampires’
