*When Rose flew through the vortex, it was in Pete's arms she landed on the the floor. Wrenching herself away, she threw herself at the wall wailing. She'd been separated from HER Doctor. Silencing herself, she placed her ear against the wall touching it as if they were only separated by glass. He was doing the same. She knew it. It was HER Doctor. She promised to stay with him forever and he always saved her from certain doom. And to them, this was certain doom.
Her sobs turned to heavy breathing. It was the hand of her mother that caused her to turn. Grabbing onto her and Mickey, Rose would be inconsolable for quite some time. For approximately two weeks she did not come out of her new room. Her mother dropped food and water off at her door. She'd had her own bathroom.
Slowly Rose awoke one morning. Looking under her bed like a child, she pulled out a box. Upon opening the box she noted her keepsakes she'd had on her when she went flying into the void. Her T.A.R.D.I.S key, an enchanted rose The Doctor had given her long ago. The rose would never die. His sonic screwdriver she'd been holding for him during the attack and attempt to save their Earth. And finally her cell phone from her world. She had tried it before once, but it didn't work. The Londoner kept it to remember his 'jiggery pokery' to call Mum 5 billion years in the past. That and there were pictures of her and The Doctor and some of the places they had been. Mickey had found a charger that was compatible to their Earth's phones.*
In the T.A.R.D.I.S. The Doctor lifted her jacket from the railing and took a deep whiff of her scent. Eyes closing as a tear slid down his cheek. A silent whisper escaped his lips.* "Oh, Rose. I am so sorry. I promised Jackie I would always keep you safe. I failed you."
*The Doctor rarely slept because he never gave himself time nor did he need it, honestly. Though when he'd settled on a planet, he took the time and went to the sealed off room of Rose's. Yes, the T.A.R.D.I.S, would create rooms and remove others that weren't needed. However this one he asked the T.A.R.D.I.S to save for him.
Entering the sealed room, he sat upon her bed. Noticing a box on her dresser, his eyebrow arched.* I don't remember this.* He said as he pulled it off her desk. But then I never came in here. *A slight smile rolled off his lips. Opening it he found a random number of objects. Things she'd collected from their various trips. And her diary. His head cocked to the side as he opened it.* Do you think she'd mind if I read it? *His brown eyes saddened talking to no one but himself as he opened it.
As he read through her journal she mentioned their adventures, the old Doctor vs. the new Doctor. How she really didn't want Mickey to interfere with them on their adventures. It seemed Rose wanted time with him alone. "It's the way we work." Oh and Captain Jack Harkness once in awhile. How he was a good dancer.*
They kept a close eye on her through the two sided glass window whilst she woke in the morning. "Do you think she suspects?" Said the mechanical voice. The head turned on the mechanism sitting next to it. "I think not. If she did, we would know."
Rose continued working at Torchwood and living with Mickey, Mum, Pete, and now Tony. Still she missed the Doctor horribly she had promised to stay with him forever. Night after night she cried. Writing in her new journal. It was all about The Doctor. Nothing about Mickey and her new life.
The Doctor continued reading through as to how happy and in love Rose had been with him. He could read no more of Rose's diary. He closed it and left her room sealing it shut off once more.
As she lay in her room she called out to The Doctor.* Doctor, I miss you.
*It was then he heard her.* Rose? *Hurridly The Doctor ran around the console in an attempt to tune in the voice he knew so well.* Rose, Rose Tyler.. can you hear me?
*It was faint, but she heard him.* Doctor! Are you here? *Bellowing loudly, Rose hopped out of bed and their conversation continued.* Rose, if you still have your phone, turn it on so I can lock on to your position. *immediately she did so with earnest.
Behind the mirror it was as if the two machines were almost shaking in fear.* They.. are.. communicating.. He has found us. He will come for her. *Their speech metallic and broken.* Worry not. He knows not where we are.
*Rose ran from the room and encountered her mother, father and Mickey. Though she was not aware they were holograms, she called out to them that she had been in contact with The Doctor. They were elated for her. However Mum said. "He left you the last time, Rose. How can you be sure he'll come and get you this time?" Rose's jaw dropped.* Mum! How can you say such a thing about The Doctor? He will always come for me. If there's a way, he will!* Rose stormed off and slammed her door.*
How can she say that? She knows he'll always come for me. Just like I came for him when I looked into the heart of the TARDIS. *The blonde called into Torchwood advising them she was sick and was unable to come in.
Meanwhile the Doctor had finally honed in on the planet in which her phone signal had been traced to. It had been covered well. Similar to any advanced species. Preparations were to be put in order. He knew not what he would be meeting and had taken his Rose only to hide her from him for months. This was a planet he did not have on his solar system chart. Confused and curious as he was, the 10th Doctor was set on obtaining his Rose first. They could explore everything they wanted to after their reunion.*
The TARDIS is in or..bit. The Doc..tor is here. Pre..pare for his arri..val. *Just then as Rose had gathered her belongings from her world, she stepped out of her room only to be confronted by Daleks. Shock ravaged her clearly happy face. Her phone already in her pocket as she had dialed The Doctor prior to leaving her room.*
What?! Where am I? Where's my mum, Mickey, Dad, Tony? *If the Daleks were to have any emotions it would be pompous.* Where am I?
*What seemed to be the Dalek in charge, rolled towards The Doctor's most treasured and trusted companion as of recent regenerations.*
We cre..ated a new Skarro and because of the Time War... we stole The Doctor's most precious hu...man. You, Rose... Ty..ler. *The Daleks were shaking back and forth as they spoke. Rose stepped forth with confidence. Her phone open the entire time so The Doctor could hear her.*
Oy.. you're afraid. You know the Doctor is coming for me. You knew he always would. *The grin on her face ever so confident.* I knew something something was wrong. Mum was acting weird. Like Mum, but not Mum.
All along The Doctor had been listening to their conversation.* That's my girl, Rose. Keep them talking. I need to find where you are. *Sliding the gears, pressing buttons and watching the screen he found her.* GOTCHA!
*The whirring of The TARDIS as it materialized in front of Rose and the Daleks, the door opened.* Sorry I'm late.
*She laughed* Well it's about time you came and got me! They were just.. *She was interrupted* Be quiet! Doctor you will surrender to us!
*Turning to them the dark haired Time Lord chuckled.* I will not. Come on Rose. It's time to go. * They jumped into the TARDIS as they heard the shots the Daleks were making at The TARDIS.* Where are we going? *Her smile radiated as they were together again.* How bout Barcelona. We never did go there.
