It’s good for the soul to imagine your f/o silently losing it during the pining or pre relationship stage because they’re looking at you and thinking it’s almost ridiculous that you don’t even know how good you look. You don’t know how captivating you are when you’re not even trying. You could be tired, hair messy, just doing mundane, every day things. If you wear makeup, maybe it’s smudged or maybe it’s a day where you don’t have any on at all. You could have just woken up or be tired and struggling to stay awake. And to them, you are absolutely magnetic, enchanting, enthralling. You have zero clue—you’re just existing—but internally, they’re so flustered, maybe even wondering how it’s fair that you can manage to take their breath away when you aren’t even trying, when you don’t even know you’re doing it.
The power of having an "it's complicated" phase with your f/o where you're both dancing around defining your relationship but the tension is so thick everyone else can see it

8. What part of your f/o's story felt like it was missing something that your s/i was able to fill?
Shura is the only character from Kohga in the game and I wanted/expected more out of it, so I made my s/i Kohgan as well. Rosalind shares his dream of rebuilding their home and because she's the last surviving royal family member, she represents Kohga's future to Shura.
9. What's a piece of canon lore about your f/o do you happily ignore?
Okay so he did kidnap Azura and take her away from her family in Nohr but I can forgive him.
12. What's an important event in your f/o's canon that would help others understand them better?
It would help if people gave him a chance and stopped killing him just to get his boots. But seriously, Shura's B support with MCorrin (here) where he talks about Kohga's destruction is heartbreaking and gives a lot more insight into his character.

My second most beloved f/o is Shura from Fire Emblem Fates!
4. Does your s/i meet your f/o before, during, or after canon?
Rosalind and Shura met roughly 25ish years before the start of the game. She was a member of the royal family of Kohga and met Shura while he was in training to become a ninja. He got her out of Kohga during the attack by Mokushu and they reunited years later in Chapter 16 of Conquest.
5. Is your selfship lore canon-compliant, canon-divergent, or a full fledged AU?
I would say largely canon-compliant but fe14's writing does give me a lot of wiggle room to play with, especially with the timeline. For my ship, I'll be going with Shura's Righteous Rebel ending where he rebuilds Kohga and becomes it’s governor.
