I know itâs not Thursday but hereâs a throwback anyway
reese-weasleyâ:
âIâm not.â He wrinkled his nose and brushed it off his shirt. âItâs just a lot.â Reese looked at her, âWhy are you carrying that around with you?â
Rose shrugged, âYou never know when you might need fake snow,â as if that was a reasonable excuse. âChristmas is fun, there is always a party somewhere and presents. Giving and receiving them.â
domvveasleyâ:
Dom put her coat on the coat rack before kicking off her shoes. âPlease tell me we still have wine in the fridge,â she said, walking into their living-room. âIâm going to need, like, two bottles to wash the semester off of me.â
@rosieexposieeâ
âHas this term been so bad that itâs resulted in you asking stupid questions?â Rose asked, not looking up from her phone, âOf course, we have wine in the fridge. There is always wine in the fridge.â
reese-weasleyâ:
âIf I hear one more Christmas song, someone is getting strangled with tinsel.â
Rose pulled out a pocketful of fake snow and blew it into her elder brothers face. âDonât be such a grumpy grinch, Reesey.â
ascvndioâ:
âPfft,â Scorpius sputtered when all of the fake snow fall on his face. âWhat the hell, Rose? Do you just carry that stuff around with you?â
Rose shrugged, âYou never know when you might need a bit of fake snow. Donât be such a grinch.â The redhead fell back onto her couch and kicked her feet up on the table. âTo what do I owe the pleasure?â
hunterfletchleyâ:
Hunter furrowed his eyebrows, brushing the snow out of his curls. âAs much as I love fake snow, I would have much rather you threw a mistletoe up between us.â
Rose winked exaggeratedly, âOh Hunter,â she teased, âIf you want a kiss, youâll have to buy me a few... dozen... drinks.â she reached out to flick the few pieces of snow that he had missed, from his hair.
âItâs Christmas!â Rose said cheerfully, throwing a pocketful of fake snow in the air.

âWell, thatâs a good look on you,â Dylan teased from where he was standing at the doorway, nodding at the baby in her arms. He smirked and walked inside. âI put the papers you wanted in your office.â Dylan stepped up behind Lucy and looked over her shoulder. âSheâs cute.â
@lucyxmarie-weasleyâ
Lucy glanced up from her latest patient - a two week old newborn. During their appointment, the mother had commented on how she sometimes didnât even have time to use the bathroom, let alone anything else. Promptly, Lucy had insisted that she take the opportunity to go since she would be spending the next few minutes checking the baby over. Having finished weighing the baby, the healer just finished redressing the baby when Dylan walked in, âIsnât she just the cutest?â she replied, completing ignoring how he had said it was a good look on her. âSheâs only two weeks old - Oh you are a lifesaver. Thank you for that, if I donât get tha report done this weekend, Iâll be seriously behind... before you say it, yes I know that me being behind is still ahead for most people, but itâll drive me nuts.â She looked back down at the baby sleeping in her arms, she had never known a baby to be so peaceful with a stranger, âWhatâs going on with you anyway?â
accioavocadosâ:
Marcie listened to Lucyâs reasoning, furrowing her brows slightly. In all honesty, she never had to worry about money and making rent. With the money her late dad left her and the money she was to inherit after her grandmother, she could buy tens of cottages like theirs. âWhy doesnât Charlie move in then and pays half of the rent then?â she asked with a small shrug. âAfter all, heâs here basically all the time, so it would be even more convenient for you two.
Marcieâs idea wasnât a bad one, in fact, it was a good one. It would make the most sense and it would be convenient for both of them. However, from the very beginning of their relationship, they had said they didnât want to rent together, not if they could help it. Instead, they wanted to save up to buy together. It was too easy to get wrapped up in the never-ending cycle of renting. They didnât want that. Lucy shrugged, âThatâs not on option,â but she forced a smile onto her face, she would worry about this later, âItâs not your problem, Iâll figure it out, sweetie. Iâm happy for you and Reese, thatâs the most important thing.â
accioavocadosâ:
âBecause you could have chosen me and we could have had it all, babe,â she booped Lucyâs nose and gave her a sweet smile. âTrust me, you are. Ask Arlo,â Marcie hummed even though she knew that heâd just be a stuttering mess once asked about it. âAh,â she clicked her tongue at Lucyâs question. âIâm going to give my notice at the end of this month,â she answered and looked at her best friend, furrowing her brows in small confusion. âFind a place? What do you mean by that?â
âYou never wanted me, so letâs not make it sound like it was me who made the choice,â she scrunched up her nose when it was tapped, âArlo would never turn on me, heâd side with me for sure,â Lucy was of course confident on that, but she didnât factor in the fact that Arlo was potentially slightly scared of Marcie. âOh wow,â she knew it was coming but knowing it would be in a month was a bit of a shock to the system, âWell I canât afford the rent without you, so Iâll either have to find a smaller place⌠or move home.â The cottage they lived in at the moment was beautifully picturesque and a decent size for the two of them and for that reason it was pricey, but she couldnât afford the rent on her own. That was something she accepted a long time ago, of course she knew that when Marcie and Reese started dating that eventually they would move out.
arlo-averyâ:
Arlo blanched, trying to figure out how so much time had passed without either of them realising it. âTen yearsâŚâ He echoed. âThat⌠almost doesnât feel real.â He smiled softly, catching her eye. âIâm glad too, Lucy. I would say more glad than you could possibly know but- but something tells me that isnât true. You do know. How could you not after- after everything?â He swallowed thickly, thinking on her words, remembering a time where she had told him their friendship was over, it couldnât continue. His own toxic choices had nearly pushed away one of the people who loved him the most, who really understood who he was. The idea still terrified him. He wondered how different his life would be if he had stayed after his ceremony. If he had willingly taken the Mark. He repressed a shudder, cementing himself in the here and now. He was safe, surrounded by people who loved him. Everything was different now, everything had changed. âYouâll never have to find out, Lucy⌠thatâs- thatâs a promise.â
Tear stung Lucyâs eyes when he said she would never have to know what it would be like to not have him around. Of course, she remembered that brief time where she had told him they couldnât be friends. She felt awful for it. Her heart had ached for her friend, but in that small period of time their beliefs had been so far apart, there was no way their friendship could have continued, she knew in her heart that she would never do anything to harm him, that if anybody asked her if she knew anything about the Avery boy she would say no, no matter the consequences. Thankfully he had returned to her and it was all in the past now. âGood,â she had meant what she said and didnât want to think about losing him again, on a temporary or on a more permanent basis.
charliemclaggenâ:
Charlie felt his shoulders drop as he grinned, attempting to make the expression look natural and easy. He didnât want Lucy to know it was the product of relief. âI donât know.â He admitted with a shrug. âWe just never talk anymore. I never know what youâre up to, do you know how much that sucks? Like, we used to eat breakfast together, Lu- first thing in the morning.â He watched her carefully, gauging her expression. âMaybe we can do that again sometime, huh?â
âYou made other friends,â Lucy shrugged as if that explained everything. What she really meant was that he discovered girls and things changed but saying that aloud would make it seem like she was jealous⌠was she? Around the time he had discovered girls she had also sort of begun to realise that he wasnât the cute eleven-year-old redhead she had been friends with, instead he was the much taller, athletic and fit looking redhead. His smile nearly made her swoon every time she saw it. âYouâre always welcome to join me if you want to, Charlie,â she turned to walk through an archway and into the quad. âHowâs the team doing?â The conversation seemed forced and she hated that, he was right that they didnât talk anymore and maybe that was the problem, maybe they needed to just get this out of the way, the awkward part, to get back on track.
accioavocadosâ:
âEven more so,â Marcie spoke, her voice sounding absolutely serious. At some point they just needed to accept the fact that they had different fashion tastes. âI donât like the colour,â she scrunched her nose up and then just shrugged. âIâll just find something in my closet,â she hummed. âMcLaggen twisted your arm thus you lost all your âcomplaining about me moving outâ rights.â
âI still donât understand how me being in a relationship means I donât get to complain?â Lucy said with a pout, putting the dress back, âAnd no, youâre being very annoying, I very much doubt that I am more so.â she turned to face her best friend, âYou still havenât told me or when youâre officially moving out. I need the notice to find a place...â
