With google search officially switching to full AI model, now more than ever it's important to fact check and source everything back to the original books. Relying on wikis and other search results or poorly researched/unsubstantiated summaries was always a bad way to learn, but now it can't be trusted by any metric. Just return to the source.

I teach a first year college course oriented around Arthuriana as the means of building critical reading writing and speaking skills, and it was already so difficult breaking the habits of using the like AI summaries etc as information gathering.

This summer I'm spending some time reframing some assignments, but I've added the Arthurian Preservation Project to the list of database sources for the class, right next to the Camelot Project from the Robbins Library in Rochester.

My own personal research stopped using Google as a point of contact years ago, but I have unrivaled access to databases currently between teaching at a uni in the USA and my status as a PhD researcher through a UK uni.

If there’s anything that can be improved upon to make it an even better resource, don’t hesitate to say so, and changes can be made to accommodate as many learners as possible as conveniently as possible.

Accessibility is definitely the biggest hurdles for the layman, but not with Google’s nonsense, we need reliable resources more than ever.
