“Sorry, I just… Fuck, I can’t believe they’re gone.” She muttered, looking over at the other girl as she took a shakey breath. “I’d like that.”

“It hurts, I know.” Ros said quietly, not wasting to get up and get moving. “I’m still in denial, going home actually feels like the best option for everyone.”

“They obviously need some smarter people working in the Ministry. How could they have possibly gotten murder confused with an accident? That sort of mistake gives the murderer time to clean up after themselves.” Tom states, still bewildered by the newest development.

“Maybe you should work for the Ministry then, seriously everyone has been so incompetent...” she said with a sigh. “Do you think they’ll ever figure out who actually did it?”

“Fuck everything.” She repeated, brows knit as she tried to focus on the girl in front of her. “It’s so sad and we can’t do anything about it.”

“Necromancy would be nice right about now, don’t you think?” She said with scoff, amazed at her own stupid attempt at joking. She didn’t know how to handle death and it was clearly showing. “The best thing to do is to keep their memory alive.”

“Sometimes that’s just the better reality. Living life with rosé colored glasses.”

“I try but it’s hard, isn’t living like that the same as living in denial anyways? Maybe just leaving school wouldn’t be such a bad idea.”

“Still.” Doe bit her lip before letting out a sigh. “What is the world even coming to anymore.”

“I don’t want to know. I don’t want to think about it… at this point I really don’t mind if living as a local drunk becomes a reality.”

“Alright, Morrison. More doing.” he said with a laugh. “I’ll take the firewhiskey, thanks. Don’t you get into trouble for walking about the school with so much alcohol in your hands?” he mused. 

“Finally we speak the same language.” She mused, passing him the small bottle. “I have my ways of hiding my goodies, I would hate to have some wannabe perfect student ruin my fun.”

“No. Nothing at all.” She slurred, folding her arms against her chest. “Fuck everything. People are dead.”

Ros sighed, she had been trying not to think about it. Her own housemate was dead and she couldn’t remember the last thing she had said to him. At that moment it was better for her to be in denial. “That I will agree with, fuck everything.”

“So we’re going to fuck or not?” Jaxon muttered, trying to hide the feeling he had from his recent missing partner in crime. It was crass and less than he generally offered, but he needed the distraction.

“Let me think...” she said, tapping her chin as she pretended to deliberate the question. “Yeah, no.”

“This is bullshit.” She mused waving her hand in the air. Emme was far drunker than she should’ve been but it had been a rough week. Classes had gone to shit and everything was stressful. “You’re bullshit.”

“That’s cute. Anything else you’d like to share? I’ve heard it’s great to just let it all out when you’ve had one too many drinks.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She said with a grin. “Gossip is gossip and I do not partake.”

“All gossip has some truth to it, if not how do you think I was named most likely to live as a local drunk?”

“Can you just shut the fuck up and leave me alone? I need to pack, I can’t stay here. Not now.”

“How about to take a deep breath, you are not the only hurting right now.” She said with a deep sigh. “I can help you pack if you want to.”

“My intention wasn’t to distract you but to get a drink for myself, so I suppose it means I would be joining you.” 

“Less supposing, more doing, Lestrange.” Ros said with a grin. “So I have some good old tonic and firewhiskey, pick your poison.”

“I… don’t really drink,” Leo furrowed his brows and looked at Rosmerta then at the glass she was holding.

“I also have some hot cocoa, if you prefer that.” “She offered with a smile. “Would you like some? It’s not spiked.”

“There is no failure if we learn from our mistakes.” Pandora pulled a list out of her bag. “I’ve been working out a potential recipe for a potion that will let you breathe underwater.”

“Let me agree with that while I’m not being a, what do they call them? A negative Nancy.” She mused. “Underwater partying, count me in!”

Rod rolled his eyes. “And yet here you are, judging me. Thought that wasn’t your job.”

“That was just a comment,” she shrugged. “I could make it my job and continue, if you’d like.”

“Well in that case...” she took out another glass, placed it front of him and filled it up. “I try not to, but not many like to join me on a Sunday night.”
