There once was a country free of judgment. This country was powerful for it exhibited equal opportunity for all. It was a matriarchal society lead by Beyonce. There was never dispute over civil rights, voting rights, or individua’s freedom. Censorship and oppression were only folk tales of a time many years before. The political system consisted of a female majority. Meninists continuously fought for greater representation. Their grass roots activism started on social media, but soon sprouted into protests and riots. Lebron James amongst others constantly fought for the expansion of male sports, but the WNBA would never fall as the most profitable professionally sports organization of all-time. Patriotism for this great nation was unrelenting by all parties male or female and from all socioeconomic backgrounds. This was the greatest country on earth, but no one knew where to find it.

When I read these lines, it’s interesting to wonder whether Kanye is just speaking pessimistically here or if this is his actual mindset. It seems as though he’s just being a pessimist, but he’s feeding directly into common stereotypes and he’s not taking much of a stance on change.

This is interesting and shows the power of love. When their is mutual love between two people both people have equal control over each other. Each person has the possibility to make the most of it or let it wither and die.

This line is interesting because given this is written in South Park, it still holds a lot of truth. Many people today are only religious when it’s convenient and they find it necessary. Although this a very satirical show there is a lot of truths and ideas portrayed they have value in present culture.

This is interesting because many of us believe this to be the truth. Jesus’ actions spoke louder than even his prophetic words. However, it also gets to the point of how subjective much of the Bible and associated works can be. There are infinite translations and interpretations expressed in various forms and they all convey different but often similar messages.

In some of the simplest of words and terms this does encapsulate the power pyramid that still overshadows much of American society. Kanye, although very biased at time, is very good at writing lyrics that flow and sound good, but also truly contain content that people should analyze and not just take at face value. This is just one example and he has countless others in all of his media.
