Transparency & Update Post: Blender Compatibility + Commission Policies
First off, I want to thank you all—especially the amazing people who’ve supported my journey as a digital artist. Your encouragement, commissions, reblogs, and feedback have helped me grow to where I am today. With over 20+ custom commissions completed, I’ve learned so much and continue to evolve with each project.
This post is to address two important things: a recent technical issue involving Blender, and a couple of client-related concerns that I feel deserve a professional and transparent response.
Blender Compatibility Issues (Now Resolved)
Recently, I was made aware that some rigs I created were not functioning correctly in the latest version of Blender due to changes introduced in a recent update. At the time, I was unaware of these compatibility issues and had been working in an earlier version ([Blender 4.3]).
Thanks to the kindness and patience of those clients who reached out, I was able to investigate, update the rigs, and successfully resolve the issues. These clients have since confirmed that everything is working correctly. I’m very grateful for their understanding and communication.
I will specify the Blender version used for any rig-related commission.
I will do version testing where possible.
I’ll be updating my Terms of Service to include compatibility notes and client responsibilities.
Client Experience & Policy Clarifications
In the spirit of transparency, I also want to acknowledge a recent situation involving two commission experiences that did not end as expected. Despite multiple free revisions, I was ultimately unable to meet the clients' continued requests and issued full refunds. Unfortunately, this led to public accusations, which I take seriously.
Client satisfaction is incredibly important to me.
I strive to deliver my best work, fix issues when they arise, and be fair in my communication and resolutions.
But as an emerging freelance artist, it’s also important for me to set realistic boundaries—especially when it comes to revisions, timelines, and communication tone.
With that in mind, I’ve updated my Terms of Service to make expectations clearer for everyone.
Key Updates to My Terms of Service:**
Number of included revisions (standard: 2; more by mutual agreement)
Refund & cancellation process
Blender version compatibility disclaimer
Clearer turnaround times and client communication policies
Intellectual property / usage rights for completed work
[UPDATED TOS]
I deeply appreciate the support of the 25K+ people who follow and engage with my work here. I’m still growing—not just in skill, but in how I handle business, feedback, and challenges. Your patience and honesty have helped shape me into a more resilient and professional artist.
If you have questions, feedback, or just want to talk something through respectfully, I’m always open to that. I truly value the trust you place in me when you commission work, and I’ll continue doing my best to honor that.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for growing with me.
