This is a movie/tv show/books side blog to talk about different fandom media
Currently on a mission to watch everything with Finn Bennet in it (ʘᴗʘ✿)
I'm working on setting up my letterboxd, so there is almost nothing there yet. I used to use TVtimes so yeah...hard times to move apps (it takes patience to log every movie and series I have watched) Same with fable and Goodreads, I need to update the books I've read...
Apps (my accounts are linked): letterboxd, serializd fable, Goodreads
Favorite genres: Horror, first and foremost. I also love fantasy and a side plot of romance is always welcome!!!

This was the first book of his I've read and I can say I loved it enough to find 10 more of his books!!!
I was not expecting the ending! Sure, I knew that something wasn't adding up but the end was shocking! I felt thrilled and confused after I finished the book and honestly that's what I love about it.
The spider scene had me gagging and taking a break but it's nothing serious...I'm just arachnophobic and a bit dramatic when it comes to it. (searching for the image in the beginning was very hard lol)
Fitzek was basically playing with words and settings! The plot twist was good, the story was not confusing and I can say that I felt a lot of anxiety during some of the scenes, especially the one that "Max's father" is in Guido's room.
Guido...ah, such a genius. His character was so fucked up and impressive! His personality is complex, despite him being a shitty person, and I love that we see a little bit of his background to understand it better. I wish there was more of it, but that wasn't what the book was about so it's understandable.
I loved that he managed to make us believe that we knew what was going on. Even though I liked the ending, it's probably not as original as it seemed at the moment. A bit like A Girl's guide to murder #1 ending. Still, I didn't predict it so I guess that's what matters
It has a bit of gore and some unnecessary sub plots... for example I find the prison exploitation 'business' very unnecessary and unpleasant but I managed to look past that...
Would I suggest this book? Absolutely. But if you are a parent or if you have a soft spot for kids, I'd advise you to skip this one!! It can get a bit sad
You CANNOT separate art from the artist when the artist is still alive and producing new media to profit off.
So on that note, do NOT watch the new Harry Potter series. Do not hate watch it. Do not watch it because “it’s going to be my childhood remade”. I do not care. Do not watch it. This is a direct move to erase the original trio who have all stood against jkr.
Neil’s demisexual ass after hooking up with Andrew and not understanding why Andrew doesn’t want to stare into each other’s eyes and see into one another’s soul. Neil, your boyfriend is used to hookup culture and suppressing his feelings, give him a minute to catch up.
Realistically...we all know why I watched it(◍•ᴗ•◍) And I was surprised to realize that it's actually VERY GOOD?!
There are multiple points where the characters do something unexpected or something that makes you want to scream and hit them through the screen, which is amazing! It's not boring, the plot is interesting enough to keep you hooked and the actors are very good at their job!!
I have some criticism for the police department Your worker comes back from maternity leave and you think it's an amazing idea to assign her a very dangerous and top secret prisoner transfer job. My girl experienced probably the worst first day back at work in existence.
Olly is better than me, I would be running around aimlessly with panic and Mia if I were him. Why would you trust a random ass man talking to you on the phone my dude... I mean, GOOD that you did, but I just know I'd ignore Tibor and do my own shit. Which is probably why I'd end up dead but that's besides the point
Would I suggest this series? YES!!
More below
S1E1
Tibor literally carrying Amber's ass...? I mean, she is a trained cop, shouldn't she be the one in control? I can acknowledge that she wasn't trained for this though and she was probably in shock...Also, tying herself to the prisoner, I understand why she'd do that, committed to her job but your family is waiting back for you and they'd love to see you alive, maybe not making yourself able to run from a murderer would be a bad idea...
S1E2
YES house husband, stay at home dad Olly, GOOD. He was such a cutie potato trying to escape but also DAMN the stress! I could feel it through the screen!
Also, Amber fighting with her own moral beliefs...loved the whole thing, because it proves that she'll change after this job and she'd do anything to get to her family
S1E3
Amber's friends/team doing it all for her!!! They really are a second family, it was so sweet seeing this!!
S1E4
Istg my anxiety this whole episode.... Tibor's mom creeped me out. Her relationship with her son was so complex and difficult to keep up with, but at the end of the day, I think they both just were messed up after what happened with Sebastian.
Nina smiling while killing people, idk if I find it hot or disturbing...
Amber reuniting with her family!! I smiled so hard, I could feel both their relief and it was so sweet! Also, Olly staying up guard so she could rest, bare minimum but also CUTEEE
When Nina found Olly and Mia I was so fucking panicked, I can't even express it. Olly running to defend Mia, that dad would literally die for his child, as he should!
(I don't remember if this is in this episode or the next) The "bad" guys keeping Mia entertained, like yeah, I love that they can kill whoever but hurting a baby is NOT an option.
S1E5
I felt like everyone was compromised like huh? Are they threatening everyone's family or just offering them money cause this is confusing. Amber reaching out for her mom when she was getting hopeless, I think the whole show emphasizes so much in the importance on family, with Amber, her mom, Olly and Mia, Tibor and his mom and Declan with Harrison as well...
S1E6
My jaw dropped. I was so mad at Tibor because I didn't see it coming at all!?! Why the hell would you lie?! But at the end of the day it all made sense, because of course the only time they'd truly be alone was when they were dead so...
Nina killing Tibor, I feel like a student killing the teacher is always such an interesting plot! I wonder if we'll get season 2 with Nina or something, but I must admit I am satisfied with the ending!
